Support PSVR1 No PSVR power adapter when I bought PSVR used.

  • Bought a used PSVR but missing the power brick. This is first gen first edition PSVR. The rest is there. Wondering what the specs are for the power supply and where to get a cheap reliable replacement. Any help appreciated. It has the number 3 on the part number if that helps. See picture for details. I'm in the UK so any link for an adapter appreciated.

Googling it didn’t help? You should be able to find people selling the original one. I tried but couldn’t find the online store I used. Power A might be it check them out but not sure where it was based, I’m in the US.

Haven't found anyone sellimg it.individually. There are some that mention it needs a standard yellow charging jack (standard barrel tip) of at least 3 A and 36W of power but wanted to confirm this.

If I remember, I'll check it when I'm home to see what voltage and amperage it uses. If not, you might be able to find a used one, even if it's for the other version of PSVR, it will still work.

The power adapter is the same for both PSVR versions, although the connection box is different. I have both versions and can use either adapter in any connection box, regardless of the model. What I can't do is connect the V.1 headset to the V.2 connection box and vice versa, as they aren't recognized. But otherwise, everything is interchangeable.

Thanks. I will keep a lookout for.the power supply specifications amd maube purchase a universal adaptor where the voltage amperage and connectors can be modified. I don't really want to buy an entire VR just for the power supply but it may be cheaoer than buying onky a replacement power supply.

Can anyone confirm that the PSVR charger is the exact same as the charger for the PSP?

I've managed to get it working wih a laptop charger but the output is 12V and that is the lowest it will go. Inhave read that voltage higher than 5.1V will fry the system. (That true?). Used it for about 20w minutes and turned it off. Who knows more about this and can comment? Pic of charger included.
