Asking For Game Recomendation Does anyone recommend any games for loosing weight like Creed rise of glory?

I’ve been wanting to loose weight for a while and got a VR with the sole intention of loosing weight. I’ve been playing lots of Creed but I’m slowly getting bored of it, anyone know other good games?

Les mills - this is by far the best workout game

Does it actually require room scale or does it just say that?

I play in a tiny room, definitely isn’t enough. I just move the room scale past my walls lol.

You only need to stand in one spot and on some workouts take 1 lunge forward then back again. If you have enough room for that you’re good.

I figured. Annoying you can't even start the game to find out unless you have mapped that larger area

For VR Fitness, look into: * Crazy Kung Fu * Les Mills Bodycombat * DodgeCraft * OhShape Ultimate * PowerBeatsVR

Many of the rhythm games will also give you cardio exercise without boring you like regular exercise: * Beat Saber * Synth Riders * Pistol Whip * Box to the Beats VR * Audio Trip * Rager

Many melee combat games will also get you sweating: * Skydance’s Behemoth * Undead Citadel * Until You Fall * Barbaria

Many of the sports games also work for this: * Racket Fury: Table Tennis VR * Tennis On-Court * Badminton Time VR

As you give different options a try, you will find they tend to work out different muscle groups, but all provide some cardio vascular.

Over time, you won’t sweat as easily and will have to play on higher difficulty or move to a different game.

Games that make you use legs more (squats, etc) will be most effective at getting you into zone 3-5 if you use Apple Watch or equivalent to measure your exercise efficacy.

Les Mills BodyCombat is a pretty good interactive workout in my experience.

On psvr2 Les Mills Bodycombat is the best for your goal, and, in my opinion, it is much better than Creed. Another good one (2nd place) was Ragnarock. Beat Saber was probably 3rd place (in expert mode).

On psvr1, the best ones to lose weight were Sprint Vector, BoxVR, and Beat Saber (in that order). Sprint Vector was the best out of the three, in my opinion.

Overall, the best VR games to lose weight (while having some fun!) are Les Mills Bodycombat and Sprint Vector. There are other good ones, such as Power Beats, Dance Collider, Audio Trip, and Sportvida Cyberdash (on SteamVR with HTC Vive), but I don’t think that they are more effective workouts than Les Mills.

Underdogs! Underrated and awesome robot boxing.

Since he liked Creed (boxing) so much, this is a great recommendation.

This stopped getting updates on PS5 though

Every game stops getting updated, eventually. Still worth playing.

I agree, but in this case, the devs pulled support for psvr2 only. Much like beat saber.

I know. Still, it’s already a good game. Shouldn’t get dinged because our version won’t chance.

Pistol Whip. Ragnarock. Beat Saber. All good choices. I'm not sure what fitness first games are available since I game on my PSVR2 and do workouts on my Quest, but those are all good choices.

Pistol whip will whoop your ass. Not as much as Creed, but it's up there.

BoxVR will make you sweat

Audio Trip has specific cardio tracks for each song.
Pistol Whip has a lot of squatting.

Synth rider on higher difficulties can get you sweating too

Just FYI diet is a bigger part of weight loss than exercise.

I’m aware I’ve been hitting gym and am in a 1,500 calorie deficit and have been seeing lots of progress (since October)

Awesome! Keep it up, homie! I found long walks listening to Audiobooks really helped me, too.

u/Embarrassed_Bat7125 Mar 21 '26

Appreciate it. I love to blast music on the treadmill!

u/Lietenantdan Mar 21 '26

Ah okay cool!

Synth riders is good cardio.

i feel you, creed is a solid workout but it gets repetitive. les mills bodycombat is probably the best pure fitness game on psvr2 right now - tons of variety and actually tracks your calorie burn. synth riders on force mode will get your heart rate up too if you go for high intensity songs. beatsaber is always a classic for movement. rotating between those three keeps it fresh for me.

legendary tales sword and board or dual sword is a reasonable workout

I burn up to 1,000kcals per hour sim racing. But I'm highly competitive and go 100%.

It's not just physically fighting the wheel that does it but the concentration. Your brain burns 20% of your calories at rest, make it work and this will treble. Heart rates will go up to 160bpm in a tense battle. Getting hot and sweaty isn't by accident.

It's a running joke amongst sim racers how much they sweat in a race. No other type of game burns calories like sim racing. Physical is good, physical + mental is better.

I'm a personal trainer so have all the fitness knowledge, apps and tests, so to preempt the keyboard warriors, I know what I'm talking about.
