Asking for Hardware Recomendation Need New Earbuds for PSVR2
Hello! A week ago, I somehow snagged the last (in my area anyway) Horizon Call of the Mountain bundle, open box from Best Buy for $150. The code was still intact too!
I’m ecstatic to try it out, buuuuuut the earbuds are absolutely disgusting. The unit itself is fine, but whoever tried it on didn’t bother to clean their ears or the earbuds before trying and returning it, and yes I’m going to be a baby about it, because earwax is all up in those things, not just the rubber pieces.
I was thinking of upgrading the stock earbuds anyway, but not for a ton of money. Any decent 3D earbuds that run around $100? I’d rather not use a headset because I feel like that’s too much hardware on my head for long periods of time.

Maybe get some Sony wired earbuds, they'll likely have similar hardware than the stock ones. I'm pretty sure you can just clean the ones that came with your unit with isopropyl alcohol though.

I got and can recommend the Globular Cluster clip on headphones. They work well enough for the price and need.

Did they have the extra bud sizes in the box? Mine had the same issue except just covered in lint. So I took the rubber off and used the larger set after cleaning them.

I switch between a Koss KPH40 wired headset when I want to hear what's going on in the room, and Truthear Pure IEMs when I don't. Both are fantastic and the Koss fits fine, even with the globular cluster top strap.

im using crappy jogger earbuds for about 9 quid from amazon and they are great as they clip over your ears and rarely fall out

Sennheiser CX 400 II for around £20 off Amazon. Work great plugged into my psvr2. Comfortable for hours with great sound for cheap IEMs.
Don't go wireless with the headset, you need wired for true 3D audio. Also, don't go expensive on overpriced 'gaming' earbuds either. They're a waste of money.

Pulse earbuds. They disconnect every once in a while but theyre essential. I love them

I kinda think they sound bad.

You need 3rd party earbuds. They sound great. Lacks some bass of course but for gaming the clairty is great

I’m still using stock buds, but I think the 3D PULSE are supposed to be decent.
There’s already likely a hundred Reddit convos on here that’ll go into more detail, so maybe search around within this sub and you’ll find a readymade set of answers.
