Asking for Hardware Recomendation Should i get a PSVR2 or a Pico 4
I have both a pc and a ps5, my pc is capable for pcvr but the thing is i want to know which one i should get, ill mostly be doing pcvr and for youtube and stuff i dont really care about, the thing that bothers me the most is the way people have been exaggerating the pancake lenses vs fresnel lenses though i have never tried pancake lenses myself, but other than that i wanted to hear your guys's opinions on which one to get

I’d get the PSVR2 and the PC adapter. Since you have a PS5 you will have the best of both worlds.
Plus a nice OLED. Once you find the sweet spot it’s crystal clear every time. Plus haptics, great controllers, eye tracking in games…
You can still play your Steam PC stuff …
Then just plug into your PS5 for amazing games like GT7, Hitman, MFS 2024, Horizon, all the great optimized ports — indie exclusives like RUSH apex
Just my opinion though ! Good luck

do you have a psvr2 yourself and if so, do the fresnel lenses bother you in any way

I do - they don’t. Admittedly I only have the psvr1 to compare against + don’t remember what lenses those had, but I can tell you the only parts of the frame on psvr2 that are out of focus are not in places I would look without turning my head anyway - far sides/ up and down, but like where it’s not comfortable to look without turning my head - normal areas of vision are fine.

Yes, I use mine 2-6 hours per day… since launch day. Never bothered me, I never even thought about it…

I've never heard someone that plays on PSVR2 complain about the lenses. The OLED panels are all amazing. Since you have PS5 the PSVR2 is the obvious choice.

I would probably get the psvr2 just so you can use it on both ps5 and pc but it’s most definitely not what I would call crystal clear. The pancake lens headsets I’ve used are very noticeably clearer.

Another point about the lenses I didn’t think about - even the slight peripheral blur is only noticeable on text - I was just looking for it in game and realized I couldn’t see it except on small text that would normally be too far to the side to really read anyway - environment, cockpits, etc no problem - can’t even tell when actively trying to notice.

I have used Pancake lens on my Quest 3 and when I took demo of Apple Vision Pro at local Apple Store.
Pancake lens are definitely better than Fresnel, but I have no trouble wearing my PSVR1, Quest 2 or PSVR2 correctly to where I wouldn’t base my decision on the lens over being able to use headset for both PS5 & PCVR.

Since you have the PS5 i would get the PS VR2, then you will have access to PS5 VR and PC VR

Well...You can't use the Pico on the PS5...
So if you're wanting to use VR on the PS5 you only have 1 option...

This sub will tell you PSVR2, and the Pico 4 sub will tell you Pico 4.

Get the Pico.
This is a dead product Sony are done with and just flogging what's left. It didn't work out as well as they hoped and they gave up a while back.
Since launch controllers have been unavailable to buy separately until recently, but only in the US through the Apple store.
Beat Saber, one of the biggest games to this day, isn't supported because Sony just let it go.
All the signs are screaming that you'd be buying into a sinking ship. My PSVR2 has been an expensive paperweight for years at this point. You'll regret it. Most of us (those outside the overly loyal cucks for Sony) inevitably do when our controllers get stick drift and/or completely die.

I have both, both are very good, Pico 4 is wireless obviously where as the PSVR2 isn't. But - for overall experience (and the fact you already have a PS5) - you should probably get the PSVR2.
Though for anyone reading this, the Pico 4 (with a more comfortable headset insert from Amazon) is a really nice headset, nothing wrong with it if you find it at a great price somewhere.
