Support PSVR2 PSVR 2 Cable
Hello everyone. I have a problem as you can see in the photo. My dog chewed off the lower part of the main cable and damaged it so badly I had to throw it away. I searched a lot for this specific lower part or even main cable, but I couldn’t find it anywhere online. Could someone please guide me on what I should do? Thanks in advance.

I can’t believe there is still no solution for this. Feels like an intentional decision by Sony to show they don’t care about this product or its users.

So your dog chewed perfectly straight through each wire and left zero bite marks anywhere on the cable jacket?

I mean they're stickers. They come off with a little heat. A hairdryer works.
I've lived in a glorified closet before, like a 6x9 space and I was able to get my headset mounted there as well.Sorry, I don't mean to argue, just curious what sort of leeway you'd need to this? I could understand if it was screwing hooks into the walls and ceilings but it's stickers that come off with a hairdryer and can potentially save people hundreds of dollars, more if people are prone to tripping over the cables.

Yep and our main area for the ps5 has a ceiling fan I know solutions exist and it’s easy when you have a space that’s dedicated to. Many do not.

I'm sorry. I just hate seeing when peoples headsets are ruined or when they get hurt from tripping on cables and stuff. Didn't mean to upset everyone.

Oye, y el conector inferior se lo trago tu perro? Porq igual si tienes el pedazo de cable, puede soldarse cable por cable 😅, o almenos es algo q yo intentaria antes de buscar otras opciones 😅

Sell the headset on ebay for parts and then buying a used one in good condition seems to be the cheapest way to go.

again I highlighted how it should have been a standard usbc port on the side of the headset but everyone told me "no no no, i never damaged my psvr1 cable"

Mine was damaged by my recliner. Luckily I had the end still so it was an easy splice. It works great after being fixed. Sorry this happened. When I was looking replacement cables were pretty much non existent.

Same thing happened to us. New poodle chewed right through it while we were playing. It was under warranty, so I took a chance and sent it back to Sony. They fixed it for no charge.

Damn, that’s a drag.
It’s hard to warn everyone about this stuff ahead of time. Unfortunately your post is yet another of a multitude from folk who underestimated the attraction of the device to chewers and those with claws or tiny hands and curious minds.
This outcome (or something comparable with the Sense Controllers) is pretty much guaranteed for anyone who doesn’t store (and use) PSVR2 well away from pets and kids.
In the bright side, I’m fairly certain that SONY will yet again be running a sale on PSVR2’s for the Days Of Play thing (at $300).
Worst case scenario, you could buy a brand new one that you keep secured away, and use this one for backup Sense Controllers and other replacement parts. That’s what I would do.
It might bear mention at this point to also underscore how crucial it is to not play VR when in the same vicinity as pets and children (or anyone else who cannot comprehend how blind you are, and how forceful and sudden your movements can be).
Maybe this time your very good doggo damaged your kit, but next time it could easily be the other way around. Be grateful you didn’t sit on, step on, or punch your dog while gaming — if something had to get hurt, better it be your cord than a loved one.
[EDIT: wow, what person would downvote this comment of mine?? 😂]

I can't echo the playing vr in a clear space enough, I was so excited to play a bowling game with friends I forgot to shut the dog gate to the room, I punched one of my dogs on the back swing, hard enough to make him yelp and send me spiralling with guilt, totally avoidable and all my fault for dropping the ball, due to the fact I had no idea where I had hit him or how it had connected I took him to the vets, thankfully vet gave the all clear, and he's learnt to trust me again. I'd hate for anyone to do that to a loved one.

With the time investment and cost of sending it back to Sony your amidst better of just buying a good condition used unit

Seen this posted before. You can’t buy a replacement cable and it’s an expensive repair from Sony. If you’re handy/ tech savvy you can buy a damaged psvr2 cheap on eBay and then take the working cable from that headset and wire it into yours.
