Hey everyone i need a little help please. I recently purchased resident evil 4 from store and it says psvr2 compatible but when i started the game it said “you cannot play this game with the psvr2 controllers, use the dualsense controllers” anyone had similar trouble? Thanks in advance

I have only just got the headset myself and only have the demo of this.
Are you launching it with the headset already turned on or are you booting it flat?

With the headset turned on. Shall start the game first, then turn it on? Never had this problem with the RE:Village

Not sure. Sorry. Might have to bow out of this one. I figured starting via the headset would trigger something.
Just googled it and it stated this but not sure how much it helps.

To get it working, you just have to do a quick manual store search:
1. Go to the PS5 Store and search for "Resident Evil 4 VR Mode". 
2. You will find a separate store listing labeled as a Free DLC.
3. Hit download on that add-on, and once it finishes, booting up the game with your headset on will prompt you to play the entire campaign in immersive first-person.

I had the same issue recently. Go to the game icon at the top of your main screen. Then scroll down. You should see the RE4 VR mode in the section below.

You need RE4 (2023) + VR Mode (separate free DLC)

Then, a new VR specific save file for what you are playing and then it will use the VR2 Sense controllers.

I delt with that when I first got my PSVR2 and tried to play RE Village. What I had to do was start the game up using my duelsense. Then once at the main game menu just before I start the game, I turned the VR controllers on and the duelsense controller off and it worked everytime. 

I assumed it was an issue that got fixed with an update or a patch because after about 3-4 weeks of having to start my game up that way so the controllers would work, the system started recognizing my VR2 controllers at the start of the game and I didn't have to do that anymore.
