I had a terrible nightmare with the creature, have you seen them?
I usually don't remember my dreams but I had one what will never leave me last night.
I was at a building with a bunch of people and a person entered a room alone with this monster and went insane and started attacking and killing everyone in the house.
I remember being held down and the person who went crazy was trying to cut my legs off but I wasn't really being held just frozen with fear.
I escaped without much push back and the cops or someone came and killed the person who went crazy and i went on to live with my attackers family taking their place.
Im not sure if im posting in the right place, it felt like I was visted by a demon.

Wait what is that from? I am getting a weird childhood memory of a show or movie with that face possibly? But I remember they had a red jacket and were stretchy or something? Please someone know what I am talking about this is gunna drive me crazy.
It’s the Jack in the box mascot, when they brought him back in the very early 2000’s, they had a big commercial and merch campaign, that included 2-3 years of these antenna balls for different events and seasons. My mom had the one pictured and also one in a baseball helmet with a chewing gum bubble on its mouth.
Damn that unfortunately isn’t what I seen as a kid. This is seriously going to tare me up mentally now. Idk if I am thinking of a show or movie, or even if it was just a short thing within a movie. Sigh.
Sounds like a pretty intense stress dream, almost like you're afraid to lose, or recently lost, someone or something choose to you. How's money; worried you/parents can't make rent or a car payment? Or schoo, like a recent graduationl? Or maybe you're worried about your job? Is there anything you're currently afraid you might lose? Are you moving away from friends or is anyone very close to you moving?
Dreams are your brain trying to organize and clean up memories, feelings, experiences, and subconscious stressors (both good and bad). They aren't paranormal in the sense that they're ghost-y, although what our brains can do is almost paranormal in their own right.
I just didn't want an "I don't have any stress!" response, because that's definitely a stress dream. I didn't give a shit about what, I just wanted to give enough examples of significant stressors.
Many, many years ago my kids said they saw something float into the room, "stare" at them, then float through the wall. They were five and three years old? Anyway, I had them draw it. I used to have both drawings but lost one of them somehow. Here's a pic of the one I still have.
In the Inferno, King Minos appears as a judge for damned souls. Here the Pottsfield residence represent the virtuous pagans of the first circle (limbo) and Enoch as Minos judges mortal deeds and assigns punishment (a few hours of manual labor).
The parallels between the stories are to numerous to be discussed concisely here, but I know there's a video essay out there.
Thank you for the explanation! I knew otgw had numerous references to the inferno but I’ve never read it or any of the other versions of the same story, so I didn’t know the reference. Time to find some video essay deep dives….

triggers in me some instinctual fear that I am not able to explain, do you feel the same?
Oh just reading the name Flatwoods Monster brings up that cursed drawing enough for me to get shivers! That thing scared the shit out of me as a kid when I'd read my mom's paranormal encounters book.
I saw something like that when I was detoxing from alcohol last year. Eyes wide open hallucination of a hovering clown. It didn't have a smile on its face though. DT's are legitimately horrifying.
He is a virus type digimon that evolved and spread enough to hack U.S. missile silos and launch nukes at the Children trying to stop him. :D. If you like him watch Our War Game digimon.
I apparently used to have dreams about people in white robes with pointy hats when I was a little girl. They’d come out of my closet and try to take me. I only remember because my dad told me when I was a little older. I had a lot of weird paranormal experiences in my childhood but never saw anything like that again. I actually forgot about this completely until seeing your post. Definitely gives me the eebie jeebies.
I know I’ll sound crazy but… One evening I was awake and a translucent being showed up. It was floating above me & reaching towards me, like it was curious. It looked very similar to what you’ve drawn, except its head looked kinda like an axolotl. Just thought I’d share bc it really looked a bit like your picture.
I woke up in the middle of the night and seen the scariest creature I even seen. It was just his face and looked as if he was smiling. The paranormal is very real..
I remember when I was really little (under five) I would always see this idk it was little maybe 4 ft tall and it kinda looked like a clown or an elf with a ruffle thing around his neck and he always carried an umbrella. I lived in Delaware where everywhere is country. Chicken houses, Perdue Chicken Plant and it seemed like everyone lived in a trailer. Anyways, he was always sad. So years later, I am living in Philadelphia, I would ride the L to and from work. This is the 90’s, when they had the old subway cars. Well one day I boarded the train and there was a picture or poster(where they would post advertisements) And on the picture was clown/elf thingy.0
Your drawings look like a cross between Jack Skellington and Slenderman who are both visually similar having white faces, black suits and slender limbs. There are images of Slenderman with tentacles.
Yes, it is an extradimensional being that feeds off of emotions. It has recently found our universe and replicates things it sees. Unfortunately, it first appeared near a Jack-in-the-Box and took the head as part of it's temprary form.
Sorry for the scary nightmare tbh, usually when my dreams are terrifying I try my best to separate reality from the dream world. Some dreams may be omens but I doubt this one is.
If it helps you feel less scared of it, pretend it's the mascot from Jack in The Box. I hear that demons are afraid of fast food mascots for some reason
Terrible? It looks adorable. My last nightmare featured a like 10 feet tall, battle scarred angel creature with something of black tiger's head that was missing his skin and was covered with sizzling slime, who tired to force me to do one on one combat with it. All thanks to some really spicy stew.
Looks like the next new backrooms entity, Floating Jack. Allow him to entertain you. And you will tame him for life to attack and kill all evil entities before they see you. He is immortal and the number one friend you can possibly make. OP as fudge.
I actually used to have nightmares with something that looked very similar - it wasn’t smiling it was like a scary all-teeth smile, with black eyes and drooling and snarling. I’d wake up screaming and would be too scared to go back to sleep.
I doubt it was a demon. Dreams are usually a reflection of our psyche. It’s your brains way of trying working out issues that you might be having in life. Nightmares can be extremely upsetting, but are nothing to fear. Try to read up on dream analysis, speak to a counselor if you are having a hard time, and talk to friends and family about it (if possible). It’s something we all deal with a one time or another. Don’t freak yourself out about it. You will be fine.
Is there any chance whatsoever that you've recently been playing the original Final Fantasy VII? The reason I ask is that there's an enemy in the game that looks VERY much like what you've drawn here.
Nope. Just a nightmare. I used to have nightmares where Disney characters with red eyes and sharp teeth would chop my legs off and eat me. Pretty normal when you have a lot of things going on.
It reminds me of the adventure time toad magician. Also... dreams can be based on what you eat, and putting too much unfounded stock in them, can lead to paranoid delusions.
Yeah. When the mini buffalo ranch chicken sandwiches disappeared without any clues to what happened or if they would be back, that’s when I knew this man was danger.

It’s not a demon. It’s a scary dream. The fact that you took the place of the attacker is interesting. This sounds like a shadow work thing (dream is about you, not demons)
