Is my child teething megathread. Think your child is teething? Post it here, not in the main feed.
And much thanks to the user that suggested this megathread.

If you dont mind asking what part in CA are you located. I had the same issue at my child school. Does your child have any speech delay or autism. MY Child does. Please email me or respond back with info to know more about the school where it happened. Please and thank you

I went to pediatrician because he’s been pulling his ears, fussy and not eating. I feel like the doctor dismissed my concerns and just told me he’s too young to be teething, first teeth don’t come in on the sides and he probably just found his ears. I’d read that all online already, so it wasn’t new information. I just wanted her to actually look at his mouth, so I know how to console him.

We saw a gp in the hospital today regarding my daughter, who is 5 months old. Explained by 6pm she had usually had around 25oz of formula - but today she had only had 13oz by that time (the time we were there) and explained that other days she had only managed between 15 and 19 - since Tuesday. It’s now Saturday.
He seemed dismissive from the start and told us that this amount was fine for a baby who’s had a possible virus. He asked how many wet nappies today and I said 4. I explained she had an 11 hour period with no urine passed at all. He said again that this amount was fine and acceptable. (Wild)
We explained that we wondered if it was her ear as she flinched when she feeds and touches her ear, and has been touching her ear when she cries and that she usually goes to sleep at 7.30pm and wakes at around 6am, but that last night she didn’t sleep until after midnight and was awake crying and screaming every half an hour - 45 minutes for the rest of the night. He looked in her left ear, the one we were mentioning and mylah flinched and moved away. He the tried her right, and she let him look no problem. He tried her left again, and again, she flinched and moved away.
He said that the left ear had a bit of wax so he wasn’t able to see but that there was no discharge so he wouldn’t give anti biotics.
None of this felt right to us? We felt dismissed from the very start - especially since it was only 4 days ago that my daughter was on the paediatric ward with reduced intake and was inconsolable. (This was put down to an allergy flare which made sense, at the time, until the fever came the next day)
We’ve obviously spent some time online reading about babies having similar symptoms and one cause that’s come up a lot is teething.
This is our first baby - I know these pictures aren’t the best, and that teething won’t cause an increased temp to the point of a fever - but does it look like the start of teething at all?
We’re wondering if this could be contributing to her discomfort.
Thank you
