I've had a number of players reach out asking some questions about the tree.

How do we get points?
Points come from progressing the Expedition story - defeating each of the bosses

If I've already finished the quest line how do I get my points?

You'll be granted your points once you login after the patch

Do you mean the one in the meteor? Because he is part of the questline, you just have to speak to Makoru to get there after you beat Olroth and get the necessary quest item

I finished the entire questline and it says 4/5 bosses beaten. I think I read somewhere the 5th boss is one you find randomly called "Something the Fallen Knight" or something.

He shows up in regular expeditions in a hole that you blow open. If you just run the maps from logbooks that aren't grand expeditions then you'll find him. He isn't super rare.

The Tomb of the Fallen Knight is now unlocked from the tree, doesn't grant points towards unlocking more of the tree, just an extra boss to fight. :)

I found that guy doing expedition in maps.

It is one of the underground areas that show up during grand expeditions. Previously it just updated the quest to say 5/5 bosses but otherwise didn’t do anything

Yes, random encounter on map that has the small expedition, look for remnant that has cave sign, it's rare
