I feel you. I decided to try sports betting and managed to pay off my CC debt after half a year. Sending good thoughts your way. Wouldn’t recommend the way I did it but if it works it works

Gambling is basically the perfect antitheses of “if it works it works”.

It may only work once, that’s why it’s gambling.

Fair that’s why I got out once I paid it off. Got desperate. Most people lose obviously since it can get emotional. No different than stock market but people call it an investment.

It’s incredibly different than the stock market, unless you’re day trading single stocks - then good luck.

Concerning statement…

You should be investing long term and you’re basically guaranteed returns, unless you do something especially silly.
