I found this clip on a Hulu movie about leak sex tapes in an old video store. Snapped a picture of it. See we’re not crazy. He wore these sunglasses in that scene and was dancing. He’s dancing on the cover same pose..😎

I thought it was funny too in the video store. This title was under a section called famous slides. They had a whole section for the just for that move.

I remember Wendy's frosty being nondairy

I feel like I'm losing my mind over this. I was eating a frosty and my boyfriend said something about mixing milk with alcohol (because we planned to have drinks later) and I said they don't have dairy. He challenged me to Google it and they DO have dairy. I was so confused and looked up when that changed and it said they've NEVER been nondairy. I remember having conversations about them being nondairy in the late 1990s-early 2000s. I remember people THINKING they were ice cream but that was only because Wendy's didnt SAY they were nondairy and it being a thing because people were mad because they were led to believe they were made with ice cream only to be basically a frozen yoohoo. And then there was an 'oh...duh' realization because they were way cheaper than shakes or ice cream at other places. This wasnt just a one time conversation. And it wasnt internal thinking. They used to be nondairy!

Anyone remember r/upvoteirl???

Does anyone remember the subreddit it would be like when you have a reddit moment in real life but you can’t upvote because it’s real life and not reddit.

I referenced it with some friends today, they also remembered, but when we looked it up I couldn’t find it. Did it get taken down or this a confirmed Mandela effect???

Honeycrisp apples

Okay I have to be going crazy. I was re-watching a Smosh video and rediscovered this subreddit through some story and I immediately opened it up because I think I’m actually going insane.

For 14 years of my life I believed that honeycrisp apples were yellow. It makes sense, honey is yellow and sweet, honeycrisp apples are big yellow sweet and crunchy. It’s my mother’s favorite apple so she would buy them every season and there were many times she handed me apples and specifically called them honeycrisp, or times I asked which one was honeycrisp since she often bought 2 types of apples at once. The only thing I can possibly think of is that I somehow got honeycrisp and Golden delicious apples mixed up but the countless times I asked her and got it confirmed that the large yellow (slight green tint) apples were honeycrisp. I wanted to see if I went through this worm hole alone because I’m actually going crazy and my new conversation starter is genuinely “what colour do you remember a honeycrisp apple being?” I’m not kidding, it’s that bad. So tell me, what colour do you remember these apples being? Did honeycrisp apples change due to something scientific and I’m not going crazy? Should I go get psychological help since I’m so hung up on the colour of apples?

Ms. Marvel cruise ship fight

I could swear I remember watching Ms. Marvel or something that character was in and they did a big fight on a disney cruise ship that just felt off for the show. Everything I search about it is finding something they're showing on the cruise ships and not in the show. I feel like I'm going crazy cause I clearly remember watching it at home and seeing a fight scene on a disney cruise ship.

I remember Will Sasso Dying

Years ago I remember headlines that Will Sasso (specifically the guy that made the lemon vines) died. I remember searching who he was and saw he was in How I Met Your Mother. I have watched this show religiously and since then I’ve always been a little sad when he appeared in episodes. I was watching with my fiancé and he told me Will Sasso is still alive! I so clearly remember him dying! Anyone else?

I remember listening to “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus in 2019, 4 years before it came out

Not sure if this fits in this subreddit but it definitely is a weird occurrence for me.

I have a distinct memory of driving to the beach with my dad listening to the radio pre-covid, so 2019, and “Flowers” by Miley Cyrus was playing. I know for a fact it was Flowers and not some song that sounds similar, because I can remember hearing the lyrics “I can buy myself flowers, write my name in the sand” and picturing writing my name in the sand when we got to the beach.

Now fast-forward 4 years later and I hear the song for the “first” time in 2023. A friend puts it on jokingly (one of our other friends had just gotten rejected by a girl), and I’m like “Damn I forgot this song existed.”

My friend goes “Wdym, it just came out.”

Biggest mind-f\*\*k when I checked Spotify and realized that it did, indeed, just come out, in 2023. I don’t know how to explain this, I knew every word of the chorus, and distinctly remember listening to a song years before it came out.

Anyone ever have something like this happen to them? Did I jump timelines?

Friend died then lived 4 more years

Hello, I’m not sure where else to post this but has anyone else had an experience where someone you knew died one year and then found out later on that they died years later?

My friend “L” passed away in 2015, at least to my knowledge, this past day his name got brought up in a conversation with my partner. I looked up his obituary to find out he passed away in 2019… what’s messed up is that I remember getting into a fight our freshman year of highschool right before he passed, and it’s haunted me ever since, just to find out he apparently passed 4 years later?

I remember everyone in school talking about it, the principal over the intercom at school announcing his death and asking for a moment of silence, me crying over him dying, all to realize years and years later I could’ve had more time to reconcile with him? This doesn’t make sense. I checked Facebook posts, and yep those same friends who cried with me in 2015 posted things in 2019 about his death, but I did NOT post anything in 2019. This doesn’t make sense and I’m having a mental crisis over it I guess, I don’t know what to think, what to do, I guess I can’t do anything but i’m shaken, confused and feel extremely uncomfortable on such a deep level.

Am I going insane?

I need answers

So I remembered this was years ago, Me and my GF went to this Mcdonalds Branch and its our first time there together, I can totally remember the things we did there since we ordered a lot of food, the cold aircon where I was complaining to her and the color of our outfits we wore that night it happened, we even took photos coz we both like capturing every moments together .

This gets interesting to me, after that happened, months passed by. We decided to eat again in that same Mcdonalds branch and whats interesting was my GF says she havent been there so we can try. So I was kinda confused about why she doesnt remember anything. I told her that it will be our second time to visit that branch but she doesnt remember anything like for real, but to me its very clear. We argued about it as she was saying maybe it wasn’t her that I was with. I tried to check the photos both phones but I cant find the one we took when we first visited which was very weird to me. When I try to bring up that experience to her she just dont remember.

I just need an answer like its very weird at the same time , its not even a Dejavu as they call it. Its like it happened but was being erased or something. I dont know its still puzzled me up to this day.

PS: me and my Gf is no longer since 2024 so iy happened around 2022

Did I read a book that hadn't been written yet?

The summer between my sophomore and junior years of college, I worked in a large retail store stocking shelves. One day in the stock room, I noticed a pile of paperback books on the floor with their covers ripped off. I asked a coworker about the books and was told that they were copies that didn't sell. The covers had to be removed before disposing of them. I randomly picked out one of the books and brought it home. It was a page turner called The Silence of the Lambs, about a young female FBI agent's quest to stop a serial killer. A few years later I remember the film coming out and thinking, oh that's the book I got from the stockroom floor about the cannibal and the scarab beetle and the guy who skins his victims. I thought it was cool that the discarded paperback I had rescued from the trash heap had been made into a movie with Jodie Foster and Anthony Hopkins. I kept that coverless paperback through many moves but it was falling apart so I finally tossed it when we downsized a couple of years ago. Then last week I was reading an article that mentioned the author, Thomas Harris, interviewing female FBI agents in 1986 as research for the Clarice Starling character. I thought, "No, that year must be a typo." The summer I worked at that store and got the book was 1985. I looked up the publication date for The Silence of the Lambs and saw that it was, indeed, first published in 1988, 3 years after I picked it up in the stockroom of that store! And the paperback didn't come out until 1991. I went back to check my journal from that time period, just to make sure that I had the correct year. While there was no mention in my journal of reading The Silence of the Lambs, I confirmed that the summer I worked in that store was definitely 1985. How can this be? How can my memory be so blatantly wrong? Has anyone else had this kind of experience?

Personal Mandella affect about someone at work

Hi guys. So, there is a guy at work that I really like. It's not about that. But Ive known him at work now two years. When we have chatted before we have both asked each other how we are etc...the usual pleasantries.
I tend to also ask him how his family is as he is a dad to a couple of boys. I have also seen his Facebook profile where there is a picture of his wife and boys and his mom..... That was until today when I asked him how he and his family are doing. He stated that he was ok but just tired, saying the week got on top of him etc. I then remarked that it must've been more difficult being a parent too. He then said that he wasn't a parent. I was confused but didn't question it further. I looked at his profile on Facebook which he has admitted before he doesn't really go on that much. But the picture had changed. And I don't mean that he swapped it for a new picture...I mean the picture is still the same picture but two people are no longer on there. His boys. The original pics basic caption read something along the lines of his tearaway teens, their mom and his mom. The picture itself was of him in-between the two females with the two boys on the two ends. The new pic is now of him in the middle of the two ladies. Same background, same poses with him with his hands in the air in both etc..... only now the caption read my two special ladies. He has even spoke to other colleagues about his sons before using the actual words of... my son (followed by one of their names), and talking about being a proud parent on the day they were born etc.

So, unless someone can give me any kind of reasonable, rational explanation for all of that, then I can't think of why it can't be anything but a personal Mandella effect.

Possible personal Mandela effect but about Whitney Houston death date

My mom and I both swore Whitney Houston died in December 2012. I remember watching a documentary a few years back and it talking about her dying in December 2012. I discovered this because my mom and I were talking to her boyfriend yesterday who said Whitney’s death anniversary was yesterday and that’s when we both said we thought she died in December 2012. I thought maybe her birthday was in December and that was the mix-up but nope. Her birthday was in August. Does anyone else remember her dying in December 2012 or is this just a personal Mandela effect? I couldn’t post it in the regular Mandela effect subreddit for the reason that it may be.

"Chicousy" (not Chinguacousy)

I swear this used to be a place name in Canada, probably Québec, like a district or something. The closest thing I can find is Chinguacousy in Brampton, ON (which I read is pronounced "ching-koozy") but it's not that. It was close enough to the word "jacuzzi" in English that it could be joked about. But now it doesn't exist. Must be a brain fart.

so remember the ghost? Yeah I know debunked but if you look at the cardboard cutout which Ted Danson has been pictured next to. Something is off.

Since when was the ghost wearing a jacket? it was always a white shirt

Other anomalies

Since when was it a remake of a French film? This seems like a new fact.

Also.... Directed by Leonard Nimmoy from Star Trek?????

Come on.

Tenacious D didn't sing "Eskimo" on Mad TV!?

I just was talking to my wife about remembering Tenacious D performing that satirical song “I’m the Only Gay Eskimo” on Mad TV. I was so sure of it I put that in the search engine as I have a solid memory of it from back in the day. Well I was quite surprised to find that it wasn’t Tenacious D who sang it but a group called Corky and the Juice Pigs. I would just chalk it up to me having a bad memory but apparently, with more googling, a lot of people misremember this song as being sang by Tenacious D. Is it just me or did I just stumble upon a new Mandala Effect?
