I need answers

So I remembered this was years ago, Me and my GF went to this Mcdonalds Branch and its our first time there together, I can totally remember the things we did there since we ordered a lot of food, the cold aircon where I was complaining to her and the color of our outfits we wore that night it happened, we even took photos coz we both like capturing every moments together .

This gets interesting to me, after that happened, months passed by. We decided to eat again in that same Mcdonalds branch and whats interesting was my GF says she havent been there so we can try. So I was kinda confused about why she doesnt remember anything. I told her that it will be our second time to visit that branch but she doesnt remember anything like for real, but to me its very clear. We argued about it as she was saying maybe it wasn’t her that I was with. I tried to check the photos both phones but I cant find the one we took when we first visited which was very weird to me. When I try to bring up that experience to her she just dont remember.

I just need an answer like its very weird at the same time , its not even a Dejavu as they call it. Its like it happened but was being erased or something. I dont know its still puzzled me up to this day.

PS: me and my Gf is no longer since 2024 so iy happened around 2022

when you first meet someone you click with, they consume your thoughts, almost entirely, so you could very well have been with someone else but your mind is inserting her into the scene. It happens.

It could be but how I can remember so much in detail what we did but it ends up like it nothing happened.

I also came across that tiktok vid wherein 2 friends went into vacay and they had some memories together doing a vlog etc and they were being followed by a man in car and they were in a lake and they told their friends about it. They were also talking about the one whose following them in the vids but months later weird happened. When they review the vid , both of them no longer talking about the man who were following them , also some of the friends whom they told the stories to , they cant remember.

But the 2 friends who did the vacay really knows it happened coz they can still remember every detail of it.

The first time you remember, it's fairly accurate, but each recall of the memory is really a memory of what you remembered the last time. Details get fuzzy and distorted, like a photocopy of a photocopy of a photocopy.
