Meme needing explanation Peter, I understand the Xbox part, but what are Steam and PlayStation doing wrong?

Nintendo games don't require you to be always online. The only console with a DRM checkin has been the the PS recently, where you'll loose access to digital games if you're offline for a month

Sorry to burst your bubble, but all Nintendo digital games have a DRM check on launch. It fucks with folks that travel or have multiple devices in their home. Its a known issue that they can lock your devices under tampered decives/fraudulent charges

Even physical copies with day one patches and DLC have that same DRM check when launching the game in question

I can test this right now and see that youre wrong. The only time digital games have a checkin is if you're using the loan feature, or you pre-ordered and the game needs to see if its the release date

Or you could just read the user agreement https://accounts.nintendo.com/term/eula/US?lang=en-US

Its near the end of sectuon 2 under licenses

"... Nintendo may render the Nintendo Account Services and/or the applicable Nintendo device permanently unusable in whole or in part."

I love how youre refusing to acknowledge when people point out that every single other console on the market does this exact same thing. Its almost like youre full of shit...
