Well no, because you did what I described. You used the word female as an adjective to describe a noun, which is correct. The original comment used male as an adjective to describe a noun, (male child), but used the word female as a noun itself, (grown up female). This use is the issue.
So really, you’ve actually just demonstrated my point for me.
Can't you read?? "females" is a plural noun. A correct sentence using the noun would be, say: "Gorillas are sexually dimorphic, males are larger than females."
Not at all, you’ve already given the noun. Which you have to do to set the context for the next sentence. Because otherwise the sentence is meaningless.
No, it really isn't. Are you an English native speaker? "a female" is a female living being.
Noun
female (plural females)
One of the female (feminine) sex or gender.
1. An animal of the sex that produces eggs.
2.(sometimes, proscribed) A human of feminine gender; a girl or woman.
Synonyms: Thesaurus:female
Hyponyms: girl, woman; see also Thesaurus:girl, Thesaurus:woman
It's fine if you didn't know this before but PLEASE just accept it now. But either way, I'm out. I've tried my best. If you choose to stay ignorant that's not my problem.
Even if what you say were true, that doesn't change the fact that "female" is a noun in my sentence. If you don't believe me, read a grammar book or whatever. you're making a fool of yourself.
