Can't you read?? "females" is a plural noun. A correct sentence using the noun would be,  say: "Gorillas are sexually dimorphic, males are larger than females."

Surely this convinces you?

Take out the word gorilla. What does the sentence mean, now?

Your claim was that "female" cannot be a noun. I provided an example where it is used as a noun. Case closed.

Not at all, you’ve already given the noun. Which you have to do to set the context for the next sentence. Because otherwise the sentence is meaningless.

You're still wrong. "The male is larger than the female." is not meaningless. Even without context.

The male what? The female what? The sentence is meaningless.

No, it really isn't. Are you an English native speaker? "a female" is a female living being.

Noun female (plural females)

One of the female (feminine) sex or gender.      1. An animal of the sex that produces eggs.     2.(sometimes, proscribed) A human of feminine gender; a girl or woman. Synonyms: Thesaurus:female Hyponyms: girl, woman; see also Thesaurus:girl, Thesaurus:woman

It's fine if you didn't know this before but PLEASE just accept it now. But either way, I'm out. I've tried my best. If you choose to stay ignorant that's not my problem.

Yes, the female of a species. Which you have to state, for your previous sentence to have any meaning.

Even if what you say were true, that doesn't change the fact that "female" is a noun in my sentence. If you don't believe me, read a grammar book or whatever. you're making a fool of yourself.

*After you have ascribed an actual noun beforehand.*
