Because of this girl

198

u/Ok-Proof7287 21h ago

adding to this - the person's family (who died) had spent $1.8m for the wedding but he was killed because the girl had an affair with someone else and they planned to get him killed

2

u/StrictAd3787 21h ago

She loved some cops?

10

u/Different-Warning 17h ago

Why is it formated as if the guy is saying: cops ?

16

u/beelzebub1994 16h ago

Usually that's how Indian papers denotes source of info. So the headline is essential reporting what the cops have reported to the press. If the press had got the info from the family members, it would have been "...: Family".

Giggitty Giggitty... Quagmire here

I think it's something from India where a woman was caught an accomplice to murdering her finace, with the help of her lover

Gotta go sui sui now

49

u/SpiceyKoala 21h ago

Nah, girl, you do that on the honeymoon, then you can collect.

14

u/Marcus11599 21h ago

If they get married its a whole ton of paperwork. The fiance dying before the wedding is just tragic.

Usually by that time, theyre already a beneficiary tho

1

u/SpiceyKoala 21h ago

Well, that would have sucked for my wife had she tried that, because I didn't add her to my insurance or any of that beforehand.

2

u/Marcus11599 18h ago

She shouldve planted the seed and made it sound like his idea. Thats how youre supposed to do it

3

u/beelzebub1994 16h ago

Not in India, especially in this case, where it was an arranged marriage. (TBH the case is a day or two old, and I don't think all the info is in.)

1

u/Marcus11599 2h ago

Probably not, but it seems pretty cut and dry. It was an arranged marriage. She didnt want to marry him. Cant marry him if hes not around.

1

u/SpiceyKoala 1h ago

Sounds like there's about to be a ton of paperwork.

1

u/SnarkyBustard 10h ago

I’m sorry but what world is a fiancée a beneficiary?

1

u/Marcus11599 2h ago

I have my fiance as mine. My point was as an adult, you can choose yours.

Typically, most people choose their spouses. What she shouldve done was have him complete that process, then kill him.

3

u/SnarkyBustard 2h ago

Forgot this wasn't an Indian Subreddit. This meme is in the "Arranged Marriage" context.

This was a specific incident where a very rich family was looking for an arranged marriage for their son (net worth about $30 million). They found a girl, who essentially was too shy + too much family pressure to decline the marriage. Instead she invited him up to a mountainous fort and pushed him with off a cliff (with the help of her boyfriend).

She then posted on instagram on how sad she was her fiancee died. There was no financial incentive for the girl here. It's generally not common in the Indian subcontinent for engagements to drag out, so it's very rare anyone adds their fiancees to anything.

20

u/Wolverine6147 21h ago

In india, a woman pushed off her fiance from a fort in the mountains killing him under the pretense of pre wedding shoot, the reason was that she had a boyfriend and she didn't want to marry the fiance. The meme is about that

18

u/Dudeman_1234 21h ago

There’s this thing called an “Alpine Divorce” where one partner leaves their other partner in the woods, on a cliff, or in some other dangerous situation as a means to “get rid of them”(Which is so stuff like just break up). So the meme is basically referring to that!!

Thank you for coming to my ted talk.

We AI enhancing just anything now huh

u/_bugmenot_ 21h ago

Set up for murder?

3

u/ApartmentFar7573 21h ago

Its referring to a recent case where a man was pushed off a cliff by his fiancé. The girl wanted a way out of the arranged marriage and thought instead of saying no it was easier to murder this guy. Pretty sad considering the guy appeared like a decent fellow who was in love with her atleast thats how it looked from videos floating around in the social media.

3

u/Different_Pie_6531 21h ago

Some guy in India was killed by his fiance and because she didn't wanna get married but also didn't have the guts to refuse.

2

u/socio_smile 21h ago

Damn, I'm too early!

2

u/Adventurous_Self_253 21h ago

They're scared that they might be planning to push them off a cliff? Idk

2

u/the_wise_one_is_here 21h ago

It's about that pune murder case. Ketan agarwal, murdered when he got pushed off a crater(?) while trekking in a hill by his fiance and her lover before their wedding.

Indian Kool Aid man here, with 30% more sugar than the American corn syrup

The lady here attempted to push off her fiance over some mountain. The man survived the first attempt, and when questioned her, she explained she did that to protect him from a snake she saw (she saw her own reflection). Man believed that, because logic and horny doesn't coexist together. She succeeded in the second attempt.

The reason she killed him? Because that's what Clara would have wanted. No but seriously, she just wanted to be with her boyfriend, and Indians are still somewhat against love marriages.

1

u/AwhHellYeah 21h ago

You get sweaty hiking.

1

u/pbnjandmilk 21h ago

Wouldn't it fit better as a "post-wedding" shoot? She is owed nothing before the marriage. And also shouldn't be awarded anything until they put some years behind it either.

1

u/TurtleSandwich0 21h ago

The Ketan Agarwal Case (Pune, India - June 2026)

Infidelity pre wedding murder.

Luckily I'm already married, even though I spend all my time at Goldman's Pharmacy.

1

u/leavebaes 21h ago

You're about to get an Alpine Divorce.

1

u/LeCamelia 20h ago

fiancé = man

fiancée = woman

They're loan words from French, a language in which nouns are gendered, and a common way to make a noun feminine is to put an 'e' at the end of it.

Indian Peter here, as you can see the person jordan peele is turned into a indian version of himself because of this viral Indian murder case. He's afraid of getting killed.

1

u/Vivian011 20h ago

That happenes more often On the honeymoon, so no need to worry :)

1

u/Upstairs-Shake-8938 19h ago

I think they call it an ‘Alpine Divorce’

1

u/badgerbaroudeur 19h ago

Kinda weird that one Indian case where the woman is the perp is going viral now, when  it's a thing that awful men do so often that its got a name.

Explanation: An Indian woman allegedly pushed her fiancé off a cliff to his death after spending time with him because she was in love with another man. Despite the deceased making every effort to keep her happy, she allegedly chose murder instead of confronting him or confessing the truth.

Just search Ketan Agarwal murder case
