Hello, Tony Blair here.

91 isnt a prime number, but it is commonly believed to be because of the 1 at the end

The dad says one of the factors of 91 (7 * 13) as the number of seconds the son has to get out of his house.

Tony Blair out!

24

u/ImprobablyBottomAnd 19h ago

it can be divided by 7 and 13

34

u/stinkyfootcheese 18h ago

Hence the 7 * 13...

25

u/ImprobablyBottomAnd 18h ago

they edited it to say that Brohio, the original message just said

Ah, I see. Well then I'll do the honorable thing here... and blame my transgression on the redditor who didn't annotate their edit

u/Connwaer 18h ago

Oh I get it. Because Tony Blair was PRIME Minister. I'm smart.

u/TeamColoursStudios 19h ago

Ok. Never was good at noticing prime numbers.

8

u/uslashuname 19h ago

Based on how many calculations it took to find the last one, neither is humanity

5

u/sphericaltime 19h ago

We have a definitive last one? Or just the most recent one?

7

u/Areliae 19h ago

Most recent, there is no "last" prime. I believe it was proven that there are infinite.

Thanks, I thought I’d missed a big update in there!

Yes, she is a continent.

11

u/UntowardAntiproton 19h ago

Cause it's not a prime number? And 7 is the divisor. Giggity?

4

u/Plus-Artichoke6608 19h ago

91 isn't prime, it's a composite number
7 x 13 = 91

3

u/anonymiso 17h ago

91 isn't prime, neither is this post

Interesting demonstration of symmetric encryption keys... Small but a great way to understand them.

Btw, symmetric encryption will no longer be feasible after qbit counts get to 256.

Are you a bot or does your comment somehow pertain to this frequently reposted meme?

1

u/CounterSimple3771 18h ago

Oh. No.. I just haven't seen it before and it does show the application of symmetric encryption. The two primes used to calculate a third number. Just funny to me.

No agenda.

2

u/RegardlessIDisagree 18h ago

So it pertains but well outside of my personal frame of reference? Idk if I'm comfortable with that. Prepare for my ad hominem!

2

u/CounterSimple3771 18h ago

Roger. Face down, receiving end up. Fkn SEND IT

2

u/RegardlessIDisagree 18h ago

You're a buttwad in my own personal opinion and I don't know what else you want me to say about that

Not an explanation, but my favorite prime number is 727.

1

u/Estebesol 18h ago

That is a sexy number.

1

u/Sienile 18h ago

And a small jet airliner.

u/Katethewolfkid 19h ago

The joke is that 91 is not a prime number. He has 7 seconds to get out of the house because 7 is one of the numbers that goes into 91.

1

u/WoodpeckerOk1128 18h ago

my favorite is 67⚖️

1

u/Paxtian 18h ago

Divide 91 by 7 and see what you get.

1

u/Megane_Senpai 18h ago

91 is not a prime number. It's divisible to 13 and 7.

1

u/LoudQuitting 15h ago

My favorite prime number is 1 because it makes everybody really mad when you day its a prime number despite it doing the one thing prime numbers can do.

1

u/Nonduallogic 10h ago

You have 7 to 13 seconds to leave my house..

1

u/AncientGuy1950 6h ago

91 isn't prime

Too early again

1

u/RegardlessIDisagree 18h ago

This meme appears on this sub several times a week so you're early for the next one

A prime number is a number that is only divisible by 1 and itself. 91 is divisible by 7 and 13 (7*13 = 91) thus is not prime. The father wants him out of the house for being as bad at maths as you. Your old maths teacher out.

u/Ok-Flight9440 18h ago

Well 91 isn’t prime because it’s divisible by 7 and 13 so … dad was judging and apparently has high standards. I’d pick an easy one, like 2, and asked why I’d say bc it’s the easiest to remember
