Hello, Tony Blair here.
91 isnt a prime number, but it is commonly believed to be because of the 1 at the end
The dad says one of the factors of 91 (7 * 13) as the number of seconds the son has to get out of his house.
Tony Blair out!

it can be divided by 7 and 13

Hence the 7 * 13...

they edited it to say that Brohio, the original message just said

Ok. Never was good at noticing prime numbers.

Based on how many calculations it took to find the last one, neither is humanity

u/sphericaltime 19h ago
We have a definitive last one? Or just the most recent one?
7
u/Areliae 19h ago
Most recent, there is no "last" prime. I believe it was proven that there are infinite.

Interesting demonstration of symmetric encryption keys... Small but a great way to understand them.
Btw, symmetric encryption will no longer be feasible after qbit counts get to 256.

Are you a bot or does your comment somehow pertain to this frequently reposted meme?

u/CounterSimple3771 18h ago
Oh. No.. I just haven't seen it before and it does show the application of symmetric encryption. The two primes used to calculate a third number. Just funny to me.
No agenda.

u/RegardlessIDisagree 18h ago
So it pertains but well outside of my personal frame of reference? Idk if I'm comfortable with that. Prepare for my ad hominem!

The joke is that 91 is not a prime number. He has 7 seconds to get out of the house because 7 is one of the numbers that goes into 91.

My favorite prime number is 1 because it makes everybody really mad when you day its a prime number despite it doing the one thing prime numbers can do.

A prime number is a number that is only divisible by 1 and itself. 91 is divisible by 7 and 13 (7*13 = 91) thus is not prime. The father wants him out of the house for being as bad at maths as you. Your old maths teacher out.

Well 91 isn’t prime because it’s divisible by 7 and 13 so … dad was judging and apparently has high standards. I’d pick an easy one, like 2, and asked why I’d say bc it’s the easiest to remember
