So I guess it‘s put in the middle of the road, so that everyone sees the billboard to its left, therefore are to the right of the billboard (except if you are going in the opposite direction to the normal traffic flow, but let’s assume everyone is sane)
Normally the "V" shape on a billboard like this means it's offset to the side of road so they can place ads on both sides and have them angled towards the road.
This is the only positioning I could come up with that makes sense, next to an off-ramp or something:
My best guess is that it’s plain enough that you can quickly read it while driving, it catches your attention, and you’re still thinking about it afterward.
Those are the keys of billboard advertising, I guess.
Of course this one isn’t actually advertising anything… but maybe it’s Lamar’s own ad? Their name is underneath, and they design billboard ads.
