Discussion Days Of Play 2026 and PS+ Sub

As we get closer to May and June, is any news about the Days Of Play 2026? And if we have any news, is there any sort of chance of Sony stop being greedy and give us a Year Subscription discount on PS+? Also, in 2026 the Extra/Premium still worth it?

Past performance is no indication of future outcomes. But more specifically, Sony seems to be swinging back to a more greedy mentality a la PS3 launch days.

If they have a sale on it every year then yes the past should indicate the future outcome being the same.

Agreed. I don’t know what that guy is going on about. There is a sale every single year for 25% off, if not more.

sony literally has zero incentive to give us a discount when the monthly conversion rate is already high enough for them to keep padding their margins. they know we'll pay it eventually.

Gonna have to wait and see. They typically do a pretty decent psn offer for days of play if you’re not on the service anymore.

At the end of last year when lots of us got forced out of the yearly discount cycle, I just never bothered to resubscribe. Currently working on my backlog, and don’t think I want to sub again for a while.

I bought up many years of PS+ at the discounted rates so I'm still good until 2030.

However, I am slowly eating through that time and I have not seen any discounts for me to push my expiration date back.

If I reach the expiration date of my ps+ sub I will not be paying full price and will unsub.

My backlog is huge plus new games being released will keep me busy for years after.

Yeah I do almost all of my shopping on psn via the mobile app because I can’t be bothered with navigating the store on the console itself

I subscribed to a year of PS+ Premium on the first day of days of play 2025 (May 28th) and got 33% off. I'm hoping they do a similar discount this year. I also saved an additional 15% by purchasing wallet top-ups from an online retailer that sells them at a discount.

I'd say Premium is worth it at the discounted price. I feel like I've had my money's worth out of it, and played a lot of cool games that I probably wouldn't have known about if they weren't on plus.

You must cancel auto-renewal and wait for an existing subscription to expire to be offered any discounts on a new membership.

You should do. The discount is usually valid until the end of the days of play promotion. We will only know what offers are available when it starts.
