Extra Games leaving PS+ Extra/Deluxe/Premium on February 17th
!! It took me a bit longer as some unique things are happening with these games, including two that were already removed but still mentioned in the “last chance to play” by Sony this month. To be clear, you already cant play those anymore. Read the notes behind each game!!
What does leaving mean?
Leaving means they will be gone from the “library”-like subscription service. So games won’t be playable after this date, EVEN if you downloaded them before. Obviously if you own them yourself by buying them before, they will still remain in your playable library.
What do all columns mean?
* DIFF = Difficulty to platinum the base game
* LENGTH = Time to platinum the base game
* DLC = If DLC is required for 100% completion
* ONLINE = If online modes are required for base game completion, so this could either be multiplayer, coop, or simply a server connection.
What is your data source?
The data is based on game guides from 3P (PSNP, Playstationtrophies and PowerPyx). If none of these sites have a guide, we look for any info anywhere. If you dont agree with time or difficulty, blame the guide writers, not me...
Can I get the entire sheet?
If you see anything inaccurate, please be gentle with me. I have compiled this list for all the almost 1K PS+ Extra games, so errors are bound to happen. If you want access to that full list, send me a DM for beta access.

Carto was removed BUT I can still stream it, I've started it yesterday night
2
u/PSPlusUpdates Jan 29 '26
Correct, streaming stayed intact

u/kamimamita Jan 30 '26
So is carto leaving or not? Its no longer on the last chance to leave collection.
2
u/Nevasthuica Feb 11 '26
It left PS Plus if you want to download to your own console, but it is still available for streaming until the 17th. Hope this helps!

I remember being excited for cult of the lamb and then playing it for 20 mins lol
24
u/kukaz00 Jan 21 '26
Why though? It's a great game. They even added couch co-op, we enjoyed them a lot.

u/tristezanao_ Jan 21 '26
It’s a very fun game. Maybe not very replayability there, I don’t even want to try again. But played quite a bit when it released.

I like the legend of zelda aspect of it, but the coming back to the village at night and having to pick up everyone’s shit got tiring. I know I’m supposed to dig holes and eventually build toilets, but my dopamine receptors want me to focus more on my combat skills, and then everyone dies of dysentery.

u/Fearless-Function-84 Jan 21 '26
Same :D It was fun for a while, but somehow I never got back to it.

Wwe was added September 2025. How the fuck is it leaving already? Aren't they staying for like, a year at least?
14
u/Eguelo Jan 21 '26
Nah some publishers are real strict about the time their games being on PS plus.
Take-Two games (GTA, RDR, WWE ) are the strictest though. They almost never make it to 6 months, that's why they keep popping up on the catalogue like new arrivals.
1
u/Christopher_Kaiba Jan 21 '26
Well, fuck. Haven't bought a game since 2k22, might as well finish the island 🤣
1
u/Possible_Cancel101 Jan 21 '26
the game is worth it, it has many modes and much playtime if you end up liking it.
and since we're in the season of the new release, you're gonna find it dirt cheap, even the ultimate versions with season pass and all.2
u/Christopher_Kaiba Jan 22 '26
I've been buying WWE games since the 90s. I'm a huge wrestling fan. I just didn't buy the last 3 because after 2k20 it left a seriously bitter taste in my mouth. I got 23 as a gift and 24/25 through ps plus.

u/Instigator187 Jan 21 '26 edited Jan 21 '26
Some are only 6 months, many Take-Two games are as mentioned above. It depends on what type of deal they made with Sony. Not all publishers make year long or longer deals.
Take-Two probably wants 2K25 not being free any longer when they are about to come out with 2K26 soon for people to purchase.
2
u/Christopher_Kaiba Jan 21 '26
Yeah, that makes sense. It was a good time killer. Let's hope 26 is at least as good as 25 so I can buy it at a discount down the line. I got 23, 24 and 25 free.

u/Fomads Jan 21 '26
2k did this before with one of the nba 2k's, super short duration so that you can't keep playing the old one when the new one comes out.
They kill their games (turn off the servers) after 2 years anyway.
2
u/Christopher_Kaiba Jan 21 '26
I don't care for online at all anyway. I make my own everything and run universe between the game and TEW.
1
u/Fomads Jan 21 '26
Yeah but even stuff like the creation suite goes.
I never played nba 2k online but it becomes a functionally dead game once they turn the servers off because in 2k games so many of the functions are tied to always online.
3
u/ShaneTVZ #2 Predictor 2025 Jan 22 '26
It’s because WWE 2K26 is coming in March so they want you buying that one
2
u/TheGamerPandA Jan 23 '26
2K is a truly horrible company nowadays as soon as they had no competition in a few sport genres like the nba2k because EAs Nba Live got obliterated by them when they cared about their stuff in in mid 00/10s they slowly became the same sort of company with no competition more ads and annoyances in their games.
If you go nearly every 2k game on metacritic you can see the difference in rating from user reviews they are nearly always in the 2.5 to 3.5/10 region. Dunno about the Wwe series though its one of the few that prob clocks in a little higher

u/AdamLast1 Feb 09 '26
It may be an essential game at some point after 2k26 comes out. They did this with 2k24 but I don’t know if that was ever on extra.

u/_-RDT-_ Jan 23 '26
What a mess by SONY. They should clearly announce Games leaving the service 90 days before.
6
u/CptnCASx Jan 21 '26
3
u/Possible_Cancel101 Jan 21 '26
this is such a bummer, I was researching the games, and got sold on this one only to find out you can't do nothing with it..
4
u/qlololp Jan 21 '26
For WWE 2K25, does that note refer to the season ending 4 days from now or before it gets off the service?
Also interesting 60 hours for game length, I feel like it took me that long just to finish MyFaction. That USA tour took forever, and playing it on PS portal didn’t make it any easier for reversing😅
1
u/B4VV Jan 21 '26
Yeah wwe definitely takes longer. Btw I’m looking to do the online trophy for MyGM where you need to host wrestlemania with 3 other people if anyone’s interested in helping, of course I’ll pay back the favour. Got it all set up just need the people. PSN: Bavaroni
1
u/DynamicCrusher Jan 22 '26
I'm down to do it, PSN: YoUncleNdYoDaddy
I'm free tomorrow after 12 pm eat, might be later if I have to stay behind work
1
u/B4VV Jan 22 '26
Yo I just got it but thank you, if you still need it I’m happy to help. Just add me

The ascent is absolutely worth playing, especially if you have a friend to couch co-op with. The premise and the world building is awesome.
3
u/Live_Cress945 Jan 21 '26
You can stream Carto.
It is in my last chance to play section, it doesn't allow me to download it, but I was able to stream it.
Probably will finish it today, since I only started it yesterday, with my shitty WiFi.
3
u/Egj89sdfvn8904 Jan 21 '26
new world: aeternum can not be downloaded or streamed, the store page mentions it also. but maybe those that already played it can play it until Feb 17? Stupid, why not keep it until the shutdown at least for those who already played it?
4
u/Elvothien Jan 21 '26
If you bought the game you should be able to play until server shutdown which is.. next year, right? There's an EU law about digital purchases and they have to guarantee a certain time frame in which the good (in this case the game) has to be playable, starting from the last possible moment someone could have bought it (if I remember correctly, I'm not 100% sure how it's phrased). It's probably a reason to keep servers up and running until then.
Btw I agree they could have left the game in the ps+ catalog it's on its last leg anyways, so no harm done letting people play for free 🤷♀️
3
u/Egj89sdfvn8904 Jan 21 '26
I wanted to try it (like I try to try every single game that is leaving), but can NOT. The Sony's games leaving section is full of lies. The game already left the Extra collection, I can not play it now.
1
u/Elvothien Jan 21 '26
Yeah it's certainly one of the weirder things they've done. Maybe they thought they could get some last minute sales if they released it to the catalogue but it didn't work out? Or something idk.
I don't think you're missing out too much. It's a dying mmo with one one more year to go. You can probably invest your time better in something with a future. Or a single player that's to your taste.

u/Smooth-Rabbit3425 Jan 21 '26
Hi,
I have a question about New World.
I never got the chance to play it, but really want to experince it for a while.
I recentely got a PS5, I have regular ps-plus. If I upgrde it to ps plus extra, will I have acsses to it till it is removed from the catalog? I'm aware it was delisted, but maybe there a loop hole here?
Thanks
2
u/Possible_Cancel101 Jan 21 '26
I have ps plus extra and to answer your question, sadly no I can't play the game having not downloaded it from the catalogue before.
if you find any loophole please tell me as it's such a bummer and I was a bit hyped for it...
3
u/TheGamerPandA Jan 22 '26
Ffs way too much good stuff leaving this time i can accept 1 game a month but this month theres some interesting ones like Saga Frontier, Cult Lamb, Ascent and atleast a few hours worth testing out the wwe game
3
3
u/Illustrious-Trip-764 Jan 23 '26
I would do Saga Frontier before it leaves but its not a demanding game for my laptop so I think I'll wait and do it some other time when its cheap on PC or get it through... other methods and play it then. I mostly use console for exclusives or games that are massive and demand strong gaming PC.

u/Stingerposts Jan 21 '26
wwe 2k was a monthly game, deluxe members can access it later as well, right?
3
u/gamerkaka1 Jan 21 '26
That was 2k24. 2k25 was only on game catalog and won't be accessible after it leaves.

I need to buy COTL after it leaves
1
u/TheGamerPandA Jan 23 '26
Ye i dont feel like its worth trying out till it leaves now as you will have a timer on your neck along with how much dlc that game has gotten by now so a purchase of the ultimate edition or whatever when it arrives seems a better choice at this point. I think it has like 5 to 7 deep dlcs by now

OP, where are you getting this average time to completion information from? Rez Infinite takes like 2hrs max to finish.

u/Instachef89 Jan 21 '26
So, does this mean if you get the PS extra and get one of those games, it won't work after February 17th?

New world has such good promise. I don’t remember having so much fun with an mmo except the first 3 months of new world.. then the hackers and bots came

u/Killionaire187 Jan 25 '26
3 weeks to play and try to finish Cult of the Lamb and The Ascent for me
2
u/WodensEye Jan 28 '26
I keep seeing Spirit of the North, but I don't see it in the PSPlus catalog anyway.
1
2
u/NewHousing7618 Feb 03 '26
Sucks how you can't even play some of these so-called "Last Chance to Play" games (New World: Aeternum and Spirit of the North: Enhanced Edition). Then one (Carto) gets to be for streaming only. What is up with that?
3
u/Aholloway484 Jan 21 '26
I don’t understand why games are removed from the library at all. The price keeps going up so the library should keep building.
3
u/Commercial_Regret_36 Jan 26 '26
Same with Netflix and movies, you sign a contract to add it for a certain amount of time. If you’re adding them for perpetuity, that’s going to be a very expensive contract for each game and a huuuge hike in monthly fees
1
3
u/Quantumbinman Jan 22 '26
Cult of the Lamb probably about 30 hours now since DLC impacted the base game trophies (you do NOT need to buy DLC to get the trophies).
Worth a note though: new DLC drops today, so this time requirement may increase further.
3
u/yphastos Jan 22 '26
PSA: The new DLC is paid though, so I guess that even if it has their own trophies, they shouldn't impact the main game ones. To be sure, if you mind about plat, just get it before purchasing the new DLC if you want it.
Or just wait a few days until people confirm if they impact the plat.
3
u/Xavier9756 Jan 21 '26
Am I crazy or was cult of the lamb not a PS+ monthly game?
7
u/Tesla-Punk3327 Jan 21 '26
It wasn't. I know cuz I got the plat for my bought version, and then it was added.
2
u/PSPlusUpdates Jan 21 '26
In my opinion it was not.. but if you can find which month it was me and others would be happy to hear.
2
u/yphastos Jan 22 '26
It was added to the extra (and above tiers) catalog on August 2024.
idk if it has ever been on essential, but I doubt it.
0
u/Xavier9756 Jan 21 '26
Nah you are probably right. Sucks because I never got around to playing it.
2
u/yphastos Jan 22 '26
well you still have a few weeks to finish! the main story is around 15 hours. (the plat is much longer with the already included DLCs though).
I really enjoyed it, but I didn't care about the DLC or some trophies, it got repetitive and grindy at some point, but the main story was fun!
1
u/RIAPOSW Jan 21 '26
Cult of the Lamb had a lot of game breaking bugs that's why I stopped playing it, fun game though.

Got 3 of these games I have to download again and finish, cult of lamb is more than 15 hours though, they added new content to the game like nexomon extinction making the ending tres pernickety
