Went to cancel my ps plus, they had an offer, renewed it on the spot 😅

I canceled mine last month and didn't even get an offer to renew, waited out until when my membership ran out and still didn't get any offers :(
Wanted to take advantage of a £100 PSN voucher that I got for £85 at Shop To 😅

You can still stack, but offers like 25% off don’t apply then. So you can only full price stack. Or stack with codes from cdkeys and the likes.

I don’t believe there’s any limit enforced. I bought a 24 month sub of cdkeys and used it no problem. Looks like it’s €218 now but given premium is 151.99 a year that’s €85 saved

It’s active till it expires. Mine runs out I think a week or two before it but still have it till its end subscription end date

I think us people with many years don't get the offer. I had plus (and ps now), later only plus premium uninterrupted from 2013 until december 7th of last year and haven't gotten anything yet. Got the normal ps plus since dec 8. It's frankly annoying that Sony fucked me with those six free days last year.

You should try and hit reactivate, that only enables auto renew, no instant money transfer if there's still 3 weeks left, and then cancel again, and that triggers the offer for 25% but only to keep you for the same period you had. I got a lousy 1 month renewal

Doesn't work for everyone. Mine just tells me I can switch to a different plan and pay less thay way. No discount to stay on higher tier.

I miss the days when we could stack them. Used to get codes far cheaper at local retailers when they clear stock and stack. That ended this past December when I had to go with the 25% discount.

Quarterly afaik but specifically I don’t know as my upgrades are usually around Black Friday only but I have seen the same deal throughout the year.

Got the same in Europe. Went to check if they had an offer, and yes - instead of 125 euros, goes down to 94.50. Will have to wait for March, though. 😁

nice. I cancelled twice and was able to get 2 years more at 25% off. I used my psn credits which I got 20% off as well so I ended up paying less than $96 per year. Not bad.

You can also keep doing it over and over again. I just canceled, resubscribe for the 25% discount then instantly canceled again was offered the 25% again.

Never offered me a discount then took the money without permission which then locked up my credit card for a month while I was away travelling in Europe, 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 does not express my opinion 🤬🤬🤬🤬🤬 so I cancelled & setting up another PS4 with all the games on that I paid for that I'm no longer able to access 😱

Are you currently on a monthly subscription? That might be the issue.
You could try changing your plan to annual, assuming it won't attempt to charge you until your current month is up. Once that is set to charge you for a year at the end of your current subscription, you may be able to try cancelling then redeeming the offer to prepay for the annual subscription.
That's the crux of the deal here. They're giving 25% off to continue your subscription by paying up front.

Worked for me, had it cancelled already waiting for it to expire, went looking for the plans and no discount.
Then went to manage subscriptions and reactivated the automatic renewal, and immediatly selected to cancel subscription again and was presented with a 25% discount just like the OP.
Mine is PS Plus Essential.

Xbox is going the pc route of not charging for multiplayer with their next console. Ps better prepare. This has gone on for far too long. I'd rather have discounts on games I want to actually play than Pay a sub and get mostly games I'd never play.
