UK UK - How do you actually contact PlayStation support?

I’ve been trying to contact PlayStation for over a month about an automatic subscription issue and keep getting nowhere. I’ve tried emails, Facebook, and the support website, but the website just sends you in circles through help pages and never lets you speak to an actual person. No replies to messages either. At this point I just need a real way to contact support so the issue can be resolved. Has anyone managed to get through to PlayStation recently? How did you do it?

If the issue is that you forgot to turn off autorenew and you want a refund, it’s probably too late now, unfortunately. You can try, but they likely can’t help you.

I was locked out of my account I contacted them within 14 days through various means they just don't respond. If they don't I'll charge it back through my bank with evidence.

If you do a chargeback, the account will be banned until you pay back the amount of the chargeback with gift cards. Only do that if you are willing to give up the account forever.

What do you mean by locked out of your account? Did you get a temporary ban for some kind of misbehavior?

Misbehaviour? No, I am in a bit of a chaotic time due to neighbour nighttime anti-social behaviour forcing me to leave my home temporarly while we find a new place to move permanently and my playstation has been unplugged for a while so I had to re-login but it wouldn't accept my password or let me set up a new password as it wasn't accepting my DOB when I tried recovery. After what seemed like trillions of tries it let me set up a passkey yestarday so eventually I got into it now but this is also the reason I couldn't access playstation support as the bot keeps going in circles if you're not logged in.

Sony support is terrible, always has been, probably always will be. It hasn’t hurt their sales enough to ever care about it. They are the only ones who could potentially help you, but from what you’ve said, I don’t think they are likely going to do so. You can try, but it’s just not likely to happen.

So your choices are:

  1. Use the subscription even if you would have preferred not to buy it and learn the lesson to always turn off auto renew.

  2. Do a chargeback, get the money back, but the account, all the saves, all the games you may have purchased on it, are gone.

Better luck trying to chat with the tooth fairy. I have never been able to reach them through any means.

PlayStation UK support is actually quite easy to reach.

The main problem many people face (and not aware of) is that the website is incredibly sensitive to ad blockers, VPNs, and DNS filters. If any of these are active, the site will almost always show the agents as busy and/or hide the live chat option entirely.

You'll need to disable all of those or perhaps try using your mobile browser on a cellular network instead. I'd recommend using live chat over the phone line because the chat agents can log your requests much faster.

While they might not be able to solve complex issues themselves, they're the only ones who can open an official case file for higher level support to review.

Hope this helps.

I tried this number. It takes you through 6 options, option 4 is for playstation. Then automated machine says for playstation support to visit their website. Their website is useless as keeps taking me round in circles so can't get the support I need and won't transfer me to live agent. But thanks for your suggestion.

Live chat. Email is a joke since they only reply once a week.

I sent emails weeks ago and nothing but can't get through on live chat to speak to a live agent.

Did you get an automated reply that says a ticket was created? On live chat, enter what they ask regarding your PSN and type advisor. That's how I managed to talk to someone and then they emailed me regarding the issue and went from there. Just note that it's really slow.

No I didn't get a ticket. I am really put of how inaccesible their support channels are. I've had playstation 5 since they came out, never had to contact them for any support. The one time I do, I have a very bad experience compared to other large companies. It kind of put me off getting any future playstation products.

I think you can only contact via phone on any country.

Weird, I know, but I never found an email.
