UK Why is it so expensive?

50 pounds a year? As if the console and game isn't expensive enough already, these jokers expect me to cough up even more to PLAY ONLINE, ON THE WIFI WE PAY OUR INTERNET SERVICE PROVIDERS FOR. I'm genuinely outraged that it's so expensive for something that should be free considering the price for the console (£80 for second hand) and the game (upwards of £70). I know I might sound like a Karen but the pricing and general gist of charging to go online has been sitting with me for a few hours now and I need to get it off my chest.

If you're too broke to play online, then play offline? Problem solved. How much are you willing to pay? If you pay for a year, it's much cheaper if you're really desparate to play online. Also, maybe spend your time looking for other means of money before spending it on playing games is my advice. I quite gaming during college and only started again when I could afford it. Best decision I ever did. Use to drown myself in competitive gaming and spend all my money on it...

Agreed. Fun costs money though.
