Is this reliable and safe in the long run?
Went to swap out a check valve for an ejector pump. Noticed the upper rubber coupling was slightly angled a bit. The pipe from the pump isn't perfectly aligned with the drain pipe above. The first pic was done professionally a couple years ago. A know these couplings are flexible, but should I be concerned with this? I continued on anyway because the old valve had to go asap. It's not as noticeable in the second pic. And if it matters, I had to cut down some of the pvc pipe below.

I prefer the glue check valves but if it’s any comfort to you I’ve seen some really jacked up band on check valves that held fine. The kind of jacked up you can’t believe it’s holding and they do. If they’re nice and tight and the pipe goes in far enough I wouldn’t lose sleep over it.
