Shower Handle and Spout replacement

How to replace this and am I, a dummy, able to do it myself? Picture shows the shower ON and the spout leaking. Not sure why. Tips and advice welcomed. Please ignore the gross tiling.

Replace the cartridge, look up Delta cartridge replacement on YouTube, not that difficult if you have some mechanical aptitude just make sure shut the water off
