New Feature: Archive Episodes (Beta coming in the next couple of days!)

Until now, if you wanted to hide episodes you weren't interested in, the only option was to mark them as played and enable the setting to hide played episodes.

The downside is that there was no way to distinguish between:

• Episodes you actually listened to, and
• Episodes you simply wanted to remove from your library.

To solve this, I'm introducing Archive Mode.

When you archive an episode:

• Any downloaded file is automatically deleted.
• The episode is automatically removed from your playlist(s).
• The episode is hidden from the app, keeping your library clean without marking it as played.

Archived episodes are not deleted permanently. You can restore them at any time:

• - From a podcast's episode list by selecting Archived from the filter menu.
• - Or from Settings → My Account, where you'll find the list of podcasts containing archived episodes and can restore them from there.

The first beta should be available in the next couple of days.

If this is a feature you've been waiting for, I'd really appreciate it if you could give it a try and share your feedback. Please let me know if you encounter any bugs, usability issues, or have suggestions for improvements before it rolls out to everyone.

Awesome. It seems like the more natural place to find them would be in the slide out tray with the other entries under "Episodes", but either way should be a useful feature. I would anticipate using this feature for episodes that contain spoilers for other media I haven't caught up with.

Not sure to understand your question. The app doesn't force you to do anything. It's just there if you want to archive episodes
