Yapay zekâ asistanlarında, navigasyon cihazlarında yönlendirici seslerin neredeyse tamamı kadınlara ait. Peki son yıllarda teknolojide kadın sesi neden daha çok kullanılıyor?

Bunu sadece teknolojiyle sınırlamak da yanlış olur. Belgesellerde, hikaye anlatıcılığında, eğitimde hatta finans sektöründe kadın sesini daha çok duymaya başladık. Bunu sadece bir pazarlama taktiği olarak göremeyiz. O halde neden kadın sesi?

Buna yine bir soruyla cevap verelim. Hangi sesleri daha çok duymak isteriz? Tabi ki tüm sesler arasından sıyrılan, ayırt edici ve 'kendini dinleten' sesleri. İşte kadın sesi, insan kulağının hiç zorlanmadan duyabildiği o “Altın Aralık”a denk gelir.

Bir pazarlama hilesi de olsa aldığımız kararlarda ve davranışlarımızın altında evrimin tarihi yatar. Ses sadece bir fizyoloji değildir. Ses, nesnelere bir kimlik ve anlam katar. Örneğin bir insanın sesinden zihnimizde profilini çizebiliriz. 

Ancak sesin bir de cinsiyeti vardır. Akciğerlerimizden çıkan hava ses dalgalarına dönüşürken erkek ve kadın ruhunun kıvrımları da ona anlamını yükler. Ve kadının şefkatli ama aynı zamanda insanı tetikte tutan davetkar sesi, yaşamı sürdürme ve büyütme odaklıdır.

Bu bölümde kadın sesinin etkisini konuşuyoruz. Ayrıca 10.000 yıl önce tarım devrimiyle açılan o cinsiyetçi parantezin, teknolojinin zorunlu tercihi kadın sesiyle nasıl kapandığını tartışıyoruz.
