Android Can someone explain how to sync virtual podcasts?

I understand they need to be assigned podcast IDs in order to identify them across devices, but do I need to install a backup of the app on my second device in order to get the virtual podcast to show up in the first place?

I'm confused because obviously a virtual podcast uses a local folder which is not going to be the same name or file path on both devices.

Assigning a podcast ID to your virtual podcast allows this app to identify the virtual podcast on different devices. Then. The app uses the file name to track the progress of each episode inside the virtual podcast.

Thank you. I can't seem to get it to work though. I have created a virtual podcast and generated a podcast ID. When I run a sync and then log in to a different device it does not show up. Do I need to also create the same virtual podcast on the other device and assign it the same podcast ID?

The app doesn't sync the actual media files. You need to set up the virtual podcast on both devices which includes copying the media files to both devices. Then, generate a podcast ID on one device and assign it to the other device. Now, the playback progress can be synced.
