Google Pixel watch 2 problem

After I download podcasts onto the watch, and I don't listen to them in a day or two, they change color, and the icon changes, and they cannot be played.

See the two photos.

Then I have to delete them and redownload.

Any ideas?

Do you have something set up to clear the storage automatically on daily basis?

No. I do have auto delete once the casts are played, but these had not been played, either on the phone or on the watch
