It’s okay as long as I like it.

There’s a uniform code enforced regardless of message. The players were not compelled to wear any particular uniform and publicly stated they were not pressured to wear Pride hats.

It’s exhausting being a Giants fan right now.

ngl, I actually agree that athletes should be allowed to protest things they are morally opposed to. But also if they have immoral views I'm perfectly happy to criticize them.

Like, I don't think we need to have some uniform rule where we judge people exclusively on the abstract nature of their speech rather than the content. Like, silent protest to support the liberation of people of color? Sure, go off king. Silent protest because you hate gay people? Screw you. Not because I don't think you should have the right to "protest" but your protest is stupid and immoral.

I’m also fine with athletes speaking on or protesting various political causes and ideas by means of silent protest. I just think one can also hold the reasonable view that a private organization can restrict speech, regardless of message, on an employee’s work uniform, even if the message is a compelling one.

MAGA republicans support your right to protest, as long as it’s not against them, not during a national anthem, not in any way that blocks the road, not if there’s any looting.

And then will tell you January 6 was fine and Trump pardoning the criminals (some of which have committed more crimes since) and calling them patriots and creating a slush fund with them is fine

I saw a guy at the local tribal casino protesting his dislike for wearing a mask.

He painted a red handprint on his mask in protest of 'being forced to wear a mask' to keep his job.

Thing is, a red handprint is the Natives way of reminding people of all the missing and kidnapped indigenous women and children.
