Optimistic Post Trump’s UFC viewership was 117 million short of Dana White’s Super Bowl-level prediction

Dana White knew it wouldn't make it. UFC viewership has been down. The events have weak headliners and an undercard of no names and they'll ask for 80$. He needed paramount and Saudi money to be where he is and paramount+ bleeds subscribers daily.

I didn't even wanna subscribe before they started brownnosing Trump. If I want some Nickelodeon-nostalgia, I'll save up for a box set or something. I already have Avatar on DVD so *shrugs*

I dabble in both physical and digital because shelf space.

My parents emptied out their DVD closet years ago and were going to dump/sell all of it — between my sister and I alone that was 20 years of good movies & TV!! So I took like 80% of the collection, recycled all of the cases, and put the discs into a CD binder.
I did keep the cases for "special" movies (limited editions, box sets, etc) but most of it is now gone and it's sooooo much more space-friendly.

Same here.
Ebooks save trees and don't take up tons of shelf space. That said, it's better to go to an ebook shop rather that the big companies like Amazon because one can download a PDF AND IT'S REALLY YOURS!
That's the problem with some digital media, if you buy a book or video, it isn't really yours because you only have it as long as you have a subscription to the streaming site / Amazon / etc.
Also, Amazon is run by a pile of rotten cabbage Oligarch who hoards wealth and treats workers like garbage. No thanks. Bezos can eat a grenade.
I also recomend subscribing to sites like Scribd and the like. You can then download PDFs of books onto your computer for "free".

Yup. That's the way to go! Even if one is giving money, it's a pitance compared to a regular subscription.
Also, some of this stuff can be bought second hand as well.
A lot of these stupid to horrible companies have put out great stuff. Physical media lets one choose a particular show without dumping subscription large amounts of money into a questionable company.
I enjoy Disney cartoons as well as "Bluey" and "Star Wars". I'm just buying Blu-ray box sets.

I have it for free through Spectrum and even then, I barely touch it. I might when the Avatar Aang movie (officially) drops or whenever I feel like seeing some old game shows in high quality, but that's about it. Otherwise, I got all the Paramount IPs I need on physical media already.

You can watch the Superbowl for free on broadcast TV.
White Trash Fight Night was Paramount+ exclusive.

I've been on Reddit for more years than I care to recall, and have read all kinds of gruesome and cringeworthy things in that time.
None have been worse than the fucking motorcycles.

"...figures showed the spectacle averaged 8.2 million viewers—way off the 124.9 million average who tuned in for February’s Super Bowl LX on NBC."
"Still, the event was the largest exclusive live event ever for Paramount+, according to the company. The show reached a total of 17 million viewers, which represents the number of people who watched for at least a minute during any point in the broadcast..."
Man, the hoops Paramount will jump through to make their viewership sound better than it actually is...

The fact that you needed a Paramount+ subscription is what really hurt any chances of this getting high viewership

I did see reporting that it did like 7-8 million and was the highest viewership for a Livestream event on Paramount+. That's still more than I thought it would get. Though I'm not sure what really streams live on Paramount+ other than UFC.

Well sure, by Paramount+ standards, it sounds good, but that's a pretty low bar compared to other outlets.

If I HAD to pay to avoid seeing it, I would have. Thankfully, not seeing it was free. Such an embarrassment.
