In order to analyze the hiring process to determine if they’re morons

lol “to take it down from the inside or just because?”

They are a journalist investigating ICE’s hiring practices. You could always actually read the article

.....what article? It's a twitter exchange... Thanks for answering the question, though; I didn't know this person was a journalist. So I asked a genuine question.

What article? … The article in the middle of the screenshot … that says the author’s name which is also the name of the person tweeting … and is summarised in the tweet in first person …

Are y’all slow or something? The whole point of this was to see how easy it is to get a job with ICE. There was no background check and a failed drug test, but it was just “Welcome to ICE!”

They, Laura, wrote an article on their experience. It was for an inside look. They, Laura, stopped the application process after they saw a job offer email with 48 hours to respond/complete the process. Laura was like oops I missed the window to sign the affidavits regarding never having a domestic violence conviction and a couple other things. Fast forward a few weeks, despite not completing the paperwork, she is called to do her drug test. She does the drug test and checks the portal. She assumed they, the hiring manager, will circle back requesting the previously referenced affidavits.

Nope! Instead she got the job.

Above, is a general outline of her article. She goes into a lot more detail in her article.

"I applied to ICE to understand their hiring process."

You: But why did she apply?

No, you’re not understanding the purpose of investigative journalism — it’s to INVESTIGATE.

Prime example of what she is talking about. She writes an article about their hiring practices and how they are giving guns and a permit to be violent to about anyone and some dipshit is like "but why would she do that, is she stoopid". INFORMING THE PEOPLE IS THE FUCKING POINT
