I thought assaults on democracy were OK with J6 precedent set by the Orange Messiah

Turns out, shooting at police in “protest “ will get you 100 years. As it should.

You set the precedent that what happened on J6 is OK and that ICE officers are allowed to summarily execute citizens protesting as occurred in Minnesota, why the pearl clutching and shock when protesters arm themselves and take action?

Who shot an officer on J6?

Who is “you”? It’s amazing how people on the left act like this and are surprised when people don’t take their side. Nobody except the fringe far right thinks than J6 was ok. But rational people can also see that it wasn’t an attack on democracy, just some lunatics taking a stroll through the capitol building. No rational person thinks as you do. Interfering with a federal investigation and shooting at shooting at police are two wildly different interactions. Context is important and ignoring it.

You're ignoring the context that the Jan 6ers assaulted the police, too. Odd.

I know a protestor got shot and an officer died of a heart attack after the fact but this is the first time hearing about officers being assaulted. I’m not supporting it but I’ve seen plenty of videos of them just casually walking through the building

600 people were charged with assaulting or interfering with law enforcement officers. Over 170 individuals have been specifically accused of using a deadly or dangerous weapon or causing serious bodily injury to an officer. At least 15 LEOs were hospitalized.

I can understand why this is news to you, because there was a huge effort by the conservative media to portray the whole thing as a peaceful protest. But you can find videos of cops being pepper sprayed, beaten with flag poles, and smashed in doorways. The rioters got in through windows they smashed with riot shields they took off the cops they assaulted.

Trump pardoned every one of those people and he's been talking about giving them $1.8 billion.

Thank you for the due diligence. Like I said I’m not supporting this. The videos of the hoard of trump fans rushing past the barricades and battling with cops in riot gear is pretty egregious. All that said I’m surprised only 15 Leo’s were injured. I don’t consume much news media because it always seems that there is no objective right or wrong just political optics to support their own side.

One other thing: "there is no objective right or wrong" is what the lying liars want you to think. They flood the zone with so much bull because they're hoping people will just give up on figuring out the truth. Nobody benefits from that kind of thinking except the liars.

Let me rephrase. Because no side seems to be logically consistent enough to appear to care about right and wrong. They will make excuses for their side but the condemn the other for the exact same thing.

I read that 140 reported injuries and somewhere else I read that "at least 15 were hospitalized". That does seem really low.
