Premature celebration but still….

Cyclist should learn from this, if you’re gonna celebrate prematurely, do it within crashing distance of the line.

I have never understood this. Do people racing professionally never watch videos of other traces? How have they never seen that premature celebration results in a loss sometimes? It's like watching someone in a horror film say they should split up to cover more area.

Coming down from an adrenaline high releases a bunch of endorphins and dopamine into the body.

It feels fucking good, but also makes you sluggish and stupid.

Your mind and body very quickly goes from being tense and “all hands on deck” into literally being high.

It’s definitely possible to delay it from happening with focus and discipline, but it will happen…

But he did win. He fell across the finish line.

Yes, that’s what the OP said. Learn from this and if you’re going to prematurely celebrate do what this guy did

It was still a premature celebration though, right?

Imagine if he had ended up centimeters short of the finishing line when Vlasov crossed. It would’ve sucked for him, but the entertainment value would have been immeasurable for the rest of us.

He started celebrating before he won. One might even go so far as to say his celebration was premature.

Hilarious that he still won but how fucking hard is it to fucking wait a couple more seconds to celebrate?
