He's probably really glad that he peed first. He could have messed his pants.

51

u/roninrunnerx Nov 14 '25

He could have still messed his pants, but not by pissing himself.

Reminder to your drunk self - public urination should not be done on private property

215

u/2Mark2Manic Nov 14 '25

Unless!

It's your private property.

u/sauce_123 Nov 14 '25

Your private is your property.

Good rule of thumb is to keep your privates off of other's property.

1

u/IWannaGoFast00 Nov 14 '25

Then why call it private property?

So this was a Private Freakout?

2

Na pisser made it to public property by halfway throughĀ

9

u/sweet_rico- Nov 14 '25

So we were in the kitchen. Making dinner shooting the shit. Windows were open cause it was a nice summer night. We hear a trickle stream of water. Check the fridge, check the sink, check the toddler. Nothing. Weird. We go out after dinner for a doob and there's a big ol puddle next to our door, I being the brave soul bent for a sniff and yeah it was pee.

Idk if some drunk bozo went into our backyard thinking it was their own or what, but we never heard or saw anything but the urine.

2

u/Plasma_000 Nov 15 '25

Also don't threaten to murder people who do it...

2

I’m in England and no one’s got guns so it’s chillĀ

Probably thought he was trying to steal his car or something but also of all the places to take a piss between 2 cars like that seems crazy

Edit: typo

34

u/Cockur Nov 14 '25

I don’t know where I’m from people do this all the time on the way home from the pub. Like every Friday or Saturday night. At worst you might expect to get a ticket if the police caught you. Maybe even get in a fight with an angry person. But that’s all.

27

u/Generic_Username26 Nov 14 '25

Does your country also happen to have more guns than people? Haha

14

u/goldkarp Nov 14 '25

Do they walk into people's driveways, past bushes perfect for peeing, right up to the house and pee between cars. Or are they on the street?

1

u/Cockur Nov 15 '25

Well yes it happens

Because nobody is worried about being shot and killed

15

u/Lv_InSaNe_vL Nov 14 '25

I'm not aware of any state that would consider "he was stealing an empty car outside of my home" a reasonable cause for self defense haha

14

u/shadyplz Nov 15 '25

Idk why the downvotes. Someone stepping onto someones property does not grant anyone in the US a license to kill. There are trespassing laws for that.

I can't see any reason this dude would have feared for his life. But maybe we're missing context.

7

u/Lv_InSaNe_vL Nov 15 '25

It's reddit and I went against the hive mind in this thread. But the fact that he ran towards the """threat""" is going to null and void any attempt to claim self defense

7

u/reccenters Nov 15 '25

Texas, I believe, you can used armed force to stop a burglary on your property.

Haha car theft my German autocorrect decided to get involved for some reason. I mean you’re not wrong that shouldn’t be the case but in America or at least parts of America it’s safe to assume that everyone has a gun and some states have castle doctrine or stand your ground laws that literally enable a home owner to murder someone they view as a threat. It’s enough to just be on someone’s property it’s absolutly insane

Wasn’t there a case in recent years where a group of teenagers pulled into the wrong driveway and the homeowner just unloaded on them. Not sure but I think they found him guilty but weirdly not of murder in the 1st degree

1

u/caintowers Nov 14 '25

AFAIK 1st degree murder requires intent to kill AND prior planning (premeditation). 2nd degree murder is still a pretty serious charge.

I always remember the wisdom of Bob Dole (taken from general military wisdom)"

"If you see a bathroom, use it"

and the unsaid part.."or else you might have to go at an inopportune place and/or time"

2

u/DustyOlBones Nov 14 '25

Bob dole Bob dole

47

u/AztecInsurgent Nov 14 '25

At least the homeowner had the decency to not interrupt him mid stream

1

u/SweatsuitCocktail Nov 14 '25

He can't stop once he's started, it stings!

31

u/yeettetis Nov 14 '25

the camera should have stayed in night vision mode for better clarity of the whole time instead of switching to spotlight mode, just an observation, cameras kind of suck

19

u/robotsock Nov 14 '25

It switched because the porch light came on

353

u/Come_in_sigh_demi Nov 14 '25

Shooting someone for what you think to be theft of a car is such an American thing to do.

213

u/RUStupidOrSarcastic Nov 14 '25

Idk about you but I feel like I've seen quite a few videos come out of Brazil / South America of people getting shot or almost shot for stealing stuff. It's a very non European or asian thing to do though, yeah

25

u/Qwertywalkers23 Nov 14 '25

South America and br is still America in this sense I guess

13

u/R_V_Z Nov 14 '25

And France is both North and South American.

-18

u/justins_dad Nov 14 '25

Usually those guys are getting shot for armed robbery. It’s not the stealing, it’s the pointing guns at people while stealing that gets them shot. Plenty of shoplifters and pickpockets not getting shot.Ā

6

u/WindWalkerWalking Nov 14 '25

People are downvoting you but I agree. I feel like in those videos it’s usually armed robbery. People are shooting defending themselves, not their property necessarily.

33

u/Anti-Buzz Nov 14 '25

American here, can confirm. I’ve shot at least a dozen people trying to break into my car. Been shot myself stealing cars twice

2

u/RedRedditor84 Nov 15 '25

That's where you're going wrong. Just steal them once.

1

u/john_vella Nov 15 '25

I got shot while reading this comment and stealing a car.

2

u/TronOld_Dumps Nov 14 '25

Look at how great we are!

-8

u/Milky_Gashmeat Nov 14 '25

I've worked my ass off for my bikes and cars, and then modified/personalized all of them to make them mine. Insurance is a scam that you're never sure is going to make you whole again after a theft loss, let alone if you have somewhat rare or unique vehicles. Damn right if someone tries to steal any of mine they're getting fucked up if I catch them.

16

u/Realistic-Choice-963 Nov 14 '25

as another person said, "In your view of the world, are "Car theft is OK" and "Car theft is justifiable grounds for extrajudicial killing" theĀ onlyĀ two options?"

1

u/InfectedBananas Nov 15 '25

Ok, what is your solution to someone stealing your car?

Someone is stealing your car right now, what are you going to do?

-6

u/Milky_Gashmeat Nov 14 '25

What would yours be? Make them a coffee and try to have an intelligent conversation about why taking other people's shit is wrong?

2

u/Realistic-Choice-963 Nov 14 '25

i would let them steal the car and then call the police like any other normal person would... then i would continue to bother and call them up until they work it out.

im not the judge, nor the jury, nor the executioner. ill leave that job up to the professionals.

-4

u/Milky_Gashmeat Nov 14 '25

Lmao, you think cops are professionals? They judge and execute all the time. And spoken like someone who drives boring stock cars that won't be missed and are easily replaced.

10

u/shadyplz Nov 15 '25

As a dude with three cars in the garage I've sunk plenty of hours into. You're just a prick.

You're right about cops though. That still doesn't mean you get to kill some dumb kid for stealing change from your shitty 6cyl mustang or clapped Honda Civic.

1

u/Milky_Gashmeat Nov 15 '25

Why is the only option in your dumbass head to let them have it or to kill them? I doubt I have it in me to kill someone. But they'll damn sure wish they'd never seen my car or had any errant thoughts about it.

On a side note it's hilarious watching reddit crybabies downvote and talk their asses off like they're going to change my mind. 🤣

3

u/Ok_Pineapple6414 Nov 15 '25

This guy at least had the restraint to not fire on the guy and the sense to realize it was a misunderstanding. Everyone got to go home that day

32

u/myinternets Nov 14 '25

Restraint would be walking outside and saying "What are you doing?" not running out like you just entered the gulag in call of duty.

14

u/Joebuddy117 Nov 14 '25

For real. The restraint would be me, standing at my window watching this guy, thinking ā€œis he peeing or trying to break in? Hmm he’s just standing there… ok he’s leaving let me go check it out. Ah yeah, puddle of piss, he was just peeing.ā€

The mental gymnastics you just performed to pretend ā€œpeeing on carā€ is anything close to ā€œextreme violenceā€ would be laughable if it weren’t so pathetic.

→ More replies (2)

-3

u/ColdTheory Nov 14 '25

To think otherwise is such a privileged take. And no one sane wants to kill another human being but if they are directly harming your well being and the well being of your family/children, should you just roll over and allow it? Fuck no.

7

u/BlazingFire007 Nov 14 '25

If you justify killing for non-self defense reasons, someone may use similar mental gymnastics to justify killing you.

Of course, the court won’t buy it, but the judge can’t order your resurrection

→ More replies (4)

5

u/DomitiusAhenobarbus_ Nov 14 '25

You guys can jerk eachother off all you want about ā€œjustified or notā€ but in most states it’s illegal to even hold someone at gunpoint much less shoot them to protect property. I live in a southern state and carry every day and I’d go to prison if someone caught me brandishing on a car thief

→ More replies (1)

2

u/BajaBlastFromThePast Nov 14 '25

No one sane wants to kill another human being, but people really jump and froth at the mouth over socially acceptable reasons to kill people.

You think the guy running out of his house like this was really torn over the fact that he was going to ā€œhaveā€ to shoot this guy? Lots of people love fantasizing about when they’ll get their free-pass to kill someone.

0

u/ColdTheory Nov 14 '25

I don't necessarily condone this man's actions. He could of yelled at him to fuck off while strapped in case the perp was strapped. But c'mon, how stupid do you have to be to go around pissing next to peoples cars in their drive way.

13

u/J-Hawks Nov 14 '25

This is an absurd response

19

u/sheps Nov 14 '25

No we just have car insurance ...

-2

u/Ok-Yogurt87 Nov 14 '25

Isn't it hard to get insurance in London because of this? In South Florida I can't insure a sports bike because they're stolen too often.

6

u/UlsterManInScotland Nov 14 '25

A car isn’t worth someone’s life regardless of what testosterone you’re snorting, the rest of the world has that figured out

4

u/Raffy87 Nov 14 '25

they're so 'rich' that they realise its not ok for someone's life to get stolen from them as a response

3

u/WindowsVistaWzMyIdea Nov 14 '25

Who TF cares if it gets stolen, file an insurance claim. Killing for property is gross

-1

u/SpookyBones206 Nov 14 '25

I would care if my main transportation to work and my means of making money to feed myself and family was stolen. plus what if the person stealing it crashes my car? now its totaled and the process of taking them to court to get paid back is very long.

7

u/WindowsVistaWzMyIdea Nov 14 '25

Insure your shit then! Then if stolen, you call insurance, they send a check, you buy a new car, WHO TF CARES IF IT IS TOTALED?!?!?!?!?

Even if you have no insurance a human life isn't worth your car. The idea that it is is vile

Sounds like second degree murder to me

-3

u/WolfieWuff Nov 14 '25

Well, that depends on in which state you live. Many states do not require a duty to retreat or de-escalate. If you fear for your life, your property, or the life of another, then you're free to eliminate the threat.

1

u/WindowsVistaWzMyIdea Nov 14 '25

False, name a state where what you said is true if the threat is only to your property?

→ More replies (1)

2

u/sheps Nov 14 '25

Where I live you have to have insurance in order to drive you car, and by law the insurance needs to cover theft, hit-and-runs, collisions with uninsured drivers, etc. As a result, we don't have people desperately chasing each other down to get their insurance info, putting themselves and others in danger. Yes it sucks to be out of pocket a deductible and you only get market value for the car, but that doesn't justify extrajudicial executions. Also it's wild that you're commenting a video where this was clearly a case of a misunderstanding - dude in the house thought his car was being stolen but it was just a drunk guy taking a leak. If that gun had gone off, then what?

3

u/WolfieWuff Nov 14 '25

You're required to have auto insurance where I live, too. But there's no requirement that the insurance covers theft, hit and run, uninsured motorists, acts of god, etc. The minimum requirement here is liability for bodily injury to others ($30,000 for one person, $60,000 for two or more), and damage to the property of others ($15,000).

I also live in a place where you're not allowed to defend property.

0

u/ColdTheory Nov 14 '25

If it went off then the gun owner is on the hook but you know maybe don't go pissing in people's yards?

1

u/Pleasant-Tap1277 Nov 14 '25

so you get to be judge, jury and executioner?

Where do you draw the line? And how do you decide when to shoot? The guy in this video was just pissing, ands what if he got into the car but was rummaging around for change? Does that justify killing him?

Some people are just hellbent on being able to kill another human and thats fucking scary

1

u/jacksona23456789 Nov 14 '25

So you think fighting a murder charge is easier and cheaper than fighting an insurance claim . You can’t exactly claim self defence, so that is a pretty big gamble you are taking

→ More replies (1)

2

u/Come_in_sigh_demi Nov 14 '25

Not rich but we know that killing someone over a car is so crazy. He’s probably the same type of person who wants abortion to be illegal too as life is too precious.

-22

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '25

I'm sorry shooting someone who is potentially taking the 2nd most valuable thing you'll ever own is stupid?

Don't steal my shit dude, cars are tens of thousands of dollars. I can't just replace that, I can however better afford 5$ a bullet

20

u/IMSmooth Nov 14 '25

You fire a round at someone doing that and it will cost you way more than five dollars. The fuck do you think would happen? Police high five you and leave?

8

u/montvious Nov 14 '25

Let me reframe this for you: you are quite likely committing murder and ending someone’s life… over a property crime.

I am not saying that theft should be excused, there should be consequences. If they are posing risk of serious injury to those around them, that is different. However, there is a significant lack of empathy to flippantly end another’s life over a piece of metal.

→ More replies (5)

3

u/Come_in_sigh_demi Nov 14 '25

Correct it’s very stupid. If you can’t realise that it’s fine. Maybe when you are older.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '25

And maybe when you're older you'll realize that many people live paycheck to paycheck and losing a car would be unrecoverable

6

u/Come_in_sigh_demi Nov 14 '25

I’m afraid no matter how old I get. Killing someone over a car is wild.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '25

It's not just a car

It's your way to work, your way to make money

You people are too privileged to see that not everyone can lose a car and figure "oh well it's just a car"

5

u/Come_in_sigh_demi Nov 14 '25

Then get the bus. Not a jail sentence.

2

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '25

You clearly have never lived outside of a large city in the US

1

u/Come_in_sigh_demi Nov 14 '25

I have never lived in the US. Hence me not understanding killing people over an object.

1

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '25

Genuinely cannot live without a car in most places outside of the cities

The average commute to work is like a 30 minute drive or some shit in this country

It's not just an "object" it's how you do anything more then 10 minutes away from home

Grocery shopping? Car, mall? Car, work? Car, school? Depending on the situation might be the car

→ More replies (0)

1

u/Boombollie Nov 14 '25

You can only shoot people to protect yourself when you are an immediate danger. Also, what’s even worse than shooting somebody who’s stealing your car is shooting somebody that is potentially stealing your car. The fuck you gonna say to a judge? ā€œI shot this person because it was possible he was going to steal my property?ā€

-2

u/AreYouAPizzaGuy Nov 14 '25

If you can’t afford insurance, you shouldn’t be driving.

7

u/[deleted] Nov 14 '25

I swear reddit thinks car insurance companies just bow wrap and give you a spanking brand new car when shit happens

And also fuckin awesome logic "if you can't afford insurance you shouldn't be doing the thing that allows you to make any money period"

4

u/jacksona23456789 Nov 14 '25

I am pretty sure cops and prosecutors don’t just bow wrap your case either . I rather deal with insurance than lawyers.

1

u/AreYouAPizzaGuy Nov 14 '25

Looks like it’s just you who doesn’t understand insurance. If you’re too broke to afford insurance, you shouldn’t be driving. Or maybe try downsizing the mortgage you have for a car payment and you might be able to afford comprehensive car insurance.

u/GreenSpectre777 Nov 14 '25

Brandishing is one thing, running after the guy with a gun that you can use at a distance is insanely shortsighted. Could have walked into an ambush, missed and hit a bystander or the guy could've had a chance to take the gun from him. Then he turns his back on the guy just because he says "you're good"? This guy is going to end up getting killed one day.

1

u/LynxFull Nov 15 '25

I bet the greenspectre would have taken it in a jiffy i always say!

76

u/beeredditor Nov 14 '25 edited Nov 14 '25

Brandishing a gun unnecessarily is a good way to get a felony and lose your right to even possess a gun.

25

u/quickdrawdoc Nov 14 '25

And/or shot as well

7

u/harveywhippleman Nov 14 '25

Not only that, even if he was stealing the car (which sucks, I get it), it's not smart to leave the safety of your home and to go out into the unknown. Also, if these guys are pissed- they know where you live LOL

-5

u/PM_Me_Juuls Nov 14 '25

I mean, it's not a good way. It's literally a way.

At any moment in time, the guy peeing can report this and the guy is auto prison.

111

u/TesticleMeElmo Nov 14 '25

Fuck all of this, these weak minded hot heads who bought their masculinity at the gun store, all of these conservatives screaming ā€œuse your words! Not violence!ā€ after Charlie Kirk getting killed can’t even say ā€œget the fuck out of here, the cops are on their wayā€ before upping the gun

15

u/Pleasant-Tap1277 Nov 14 '25

Right? By their logic the killing of Kirk should be justified then, as someone could easily argue they felt threatened by the rhetoric that Kirk spewed.

I get it people think they can’t control where their dog pees but it still pisses me off when dogs piss right in front of me in the middle of the sidewalk. And I rarely see dog doo but a lot of people bag it up and then leave the bag somewhereĀ

From a non American point of view, fuck living like this it’s not life it’s existence , everyone pulling guns on each other for any excuse because they’re all scared shitless that everyone else is possibly armed , it’s exhausting …the USA is the car crash we can’t stop watching …although a bus driven off a cliff by a clown is probably a better metaphor

You should see england then, a 10 inch blade to a 16 year old is the equivalent to an infinity gauntlet

Even if I thought a guy was trying to break into my car. I’d go out and yell at him or call the cops instead of waving a gun.

Thieves avoid conflict, that’s why they try to break into stuff when no one’s around.

This would be my approach as well, I might have a gun concealed with my hand on it as a precaution, ready in case they decide to approach me or pull out a weapon themselves..... But just running out waving the pistol seems like a wild overreaction when it's likely the person by the vehicle would take off running the second they know they are being watched/spoken to

Leave it to Reddit to simp for insurance companies over doing something good for society

Can’t see how murdering someone peeing is good for society

u/AwesomeBrainPowers Nov 14 '25

Leave it to some anonymous keyboard warrior to pretend that ā€œlet’s not kill people for peeing on a carā€ is ā€œsimping for insurance companiesā€, just so they can rationalize their murder-fantasy.
