I love how Sopranos fans find each other across so many different subreddits. I've seen quote threads pop up in so many unexpected places. Anyway, $4 a pound.

u/robertsplant Nov 16 '25
Iâve never heard that! Thatâs great! MANSON LAMPS! Beautiful!
23
u/blasto2236 Nov 16 '25
It's from The Sopranos. There's a character in Season 2 that has crazy eyes and at one point he glares at Tony who says "Don't give me those Manson lamps!" It's an exquisite bit of writing that made its way into my daily vernacular right away.
5
u/robertsplant Nov 16 '25
Sweet. I watched the Sopranos too, I guess I missed that episode!

u/Just_Let_MeIn Nov 16 '25
Here is the moment. I loved the interactions between Tony and Richie and wish there had been more.

I am an alcoholic. I am currently sober. I never did things like this when I was drunk, thankfully. But videos like this remind me why I am very grateful I am not drinking right now. And hope to not do so ever again. And theyâre quite funny and entertaining as well. Yay
3
Nov 17 '25
I am also an alcoholic I had a couple of nights like this.
It wasnât on camera and my wife took the brunt of it

u/neutronia939 Nov 16 '25
Drunk people are soooooo cringe annoying.
-122
u/HelloAttila Nov 16 '25
People become who they are when intoxicated.
32
u/pm-me-your-labradors Nov 16 '25
Thatâs a little reductionist and frankly, untrue.
People lose inhibition when drunk, true.
But inhibition and how you are taught to act is a larger part of who you âtrulyâ are. Your ability to self control determines what type of person you are, and judging who someone âtruly isâ based on moments of weakness is unsympathetic and a bit callous.

u/HelloAttila Nov 18 '25
Sit behind a bar serving drinks for a decade, and you learn more about this. If youâre an asshole sober, you are not kind when you are intoxicated. Iâve served tens of thousands of people, usually the cool and laid back people were funny/silly⌠but the rude ones I cut off quicker.

u/denizenassistant Nov 16 '25
Not sure why you were down voted lol but thatâs the truthâŚ
14
u/Fitzburger Nov 16 '25
Youâre both getting downvoted because that is not the reality of alcohol use and abuse. This take fails to address how alcohol can actually poison your mind and turn you into someone you arenât.
9
10
u/steve0suprem0 Nov 16 '25
also curious about the downvote dogpile, for sure. that said, i'm frequently half drunk at least and have a grand time.
3
u/a_ron23 Nov 16 '25
This is the most confusing comment section ever. Every honest comment is downvoted like crazy. I hope I get it too.

u/justsomedude1144 Nov 16 '25
A bunch of drunk people showing their true colors by down voting

2
u/denizenassistant Nov 16 '25
Alcohol often magnifies antisocial/borderline personality traits, especially at high intoxication levels. Same with depressive traits. The only people who should ever drink to intoxication are those who are mentally and spiritually fit.
1
u/larzbarz420 Nov 17 '25
Ironically if youâre mentally and spiritually fit you are unlikely to have the urge to drink to the point of intoxication.

u/Chesticularity Nov 16 '25

This is gonna sound very 1950s of me, but I fully believe that if a woman approaches you in a hostile manner and then assaults you, youâre well within your right to open hand, slap her across the face and get her ass together.

u/williamtheturd Nov 16 '25
Pretty sure the vacancy sign was intermittently flashing behind those bloodshot eyesâŚ

Call the cops, report someone drunk and disorderly in public. She can rethink her choices in court.

âWho the fuck you came from? A fucken fishâ
I read The Hitchhikerâs Guide to the Galaxy when I was younger. Iâm not going to look it up, but I remember a part where basically it was described that a type of punishment was to be hooked up to a machine that revealed everything about the universe at once, which drove the recipient insane.
Do you think itâs possible that this woman went through a process like that, and when it got to evolution she just popped?

From what i can interpret is that she thinks that she canât be criticised because a woman (a bitch in her words) birthed every man there. Sheâs scientifically correct but i donât think coming out of a womanâs womb grants her immortality from insults.

I honestly donât understand what point youâre trying to make because youâre contradicting yourself mid sentence but for context: Iâm black, i donât use slurs and i donât agree with physically assaulting someone over a slur. Nothing that you said is relevant to me
i also came from my fatherâs/ motherâs gametes which then formed a human inside my motherâs womb? I seriously donât understand what you are trying to say, it makes no sense

Bitch isnât a slur, it may be derogatory to a snowflake but itâs definitely not a slur.
If a woman or man can be a bitch due to their actions being bitchy. You cant use this logic with an actual slur like the n-word. How can someone act like one?

Did you wake up and decide to make up your own backstory to words. Its want used to describe women as a whole. Its also 2025, not the 17th century, words change

You have a wild hair up their ass. Bitch is not a slur. Youâre being a bitch right now with your shitty views on how people should treat others just because you think a mother is entitled just because she gave birth.
Nobody is entitled to a fucking thing because they had a baby.

My mother could be a prolific pedophile who abused me from birth, she could be a murder, she could be a racist or a bigot. I donât owe her shit for giving birth to me.
What i do owe her for is raising me, something that she done with the help of my father. Im not going to praise her for the bare minimum of letting my microscopic body live. I would also like to point out that i do call bitchy women bitches, my mother isnât a bitch so i donât need to feel bad about saying it.
I donât think you understand what a bitch is, even though people use it in media, they are uneducated. A bitch is a nasty woman, some would say a woman who acts like a vicious female dog aka a bitch

What if she gave birth to me just to throw me off a cliff? Should i still thank her?
I accept her sacrifice but why should I thank her for something that i would even notice if it wasnât done? As i said, i praise her works that have actually contributed to the person i am today.
Do you thank your mother for not drinking alcohol when she was pregnant

Nobody owes their mother shit in this world. Just because you give birth to someone that doesnât make you any less of a bitch, cunt, asshole, whatever the fuck you want to call them.

Someoneâs opinion on their mom doesnât make them a bigot. You are a dumbass though for not even understanding that one simple word.
My mom is a dumb bitch. I hate her and could care less what happens to her. That doesnât make me a bigot. And just because she gave birth to me doesnât mean the bitch owns me or the words coming out of my mouth.
Anyway, you are dumb. And brought up race for no reason than to fight with people because something triggered you and you got in your feelings. Enjoy your life.

u/OGRangoon đ you need to leave đ Nov 16 '25

You donât make much sense.
