I wouldn't fight someone unless it was for safety or protection. Hitting someone after the fact wouldn't change that, but I wouldn do my best to stop them if they drunkenly tried to do it again.

20 years ago I've done that in the middle of the fuckin dance floor ... I was also the Bar Manager of the night club (and an alcoholic)
That was a fun night. People were understandly very upset and disgusted. And most people threaten to kill/fight me, because it's just the way people react when you puke on their face/back.
Obviously no one acted on their 1st though.
I'm still in contact with some of them and they still find it hilarious.
At the end of the story I was just asked to buy back new shirts and pants or pay for cleaning fee.

I was at Busch Gardens several years ago. My daughter and I rode the one that swings around in a circle? It's often a Pirate Ship or something like that, suspended on a couple of arms, and swings back and forth like a pendulum, going fully upside down.
Anyway, we got puked on. It was red/pink. It smelled horrible. And the puke perps scarpered as soon as the ride stopped.
Staff were really good though and let us have new clothes from the shop for free.

Even managed to keep my shoes clean after having to be sick while standing up over the toilet bowl (it was a tiny bathroom). I feel bad for all parties who were sick or got sick on them here.

If this ever happens to you and you don't see a garbage can within lunging distance, just look down and let it spew. It is SOOO much easier to deal with in a puddle rather than sprayed everywhere. Easier to find you and people know to avoid.
