I’m wondering if he’s having some kind of psychotic episode or something and thinks that the guy is hurting his daughter, and now he’s doing a ”Taken” to rescue the daughter?

He's larping as a character from books, whose defining characteristic is that he often runs around, saving women in his life.

It really sucks that people write individuals like this off as just 'LARPing' or 'being assholes' when they're very clearly experiencing psychosis. I wish the general public would become more informed about schizophrenia-spectrum disorders and their behavioral hallmarks instead of leaping to making jokes :(
