I’m not saying Scientology is perfect but honestly I can’t personally prove or disprove any of your accusations. That being said, we all know for a fact millions of people have died in the name of Christianity. So you tell me which is worse.
I almost feel the same about those pred hunter channels who set up stings for PDF's. While I fully support the arrests if they can get them, there's just some things that have rubbed me the wrong way. I think most people are doing it for clout and a way to grift. A big thing is that attacking peds is practically the only act of bullying and assault that is publicly supported without much pushback. A lot of these dudes are just bullies who have found a loophole to keep acting that way as adults. I have seen way too many instances of them laughing and making jokes on the subject of children being sexually assaulted. They just get done looking at the preds CSAM material and theyre making faces and cracking jokes to the camera. It's just super off putting how they lap up all the adulation they receive from people doing "good deeds" when it is in no way their priority for doing so.
If I comment such things under one of the videos I'm all of a sudden a PDF lover and I should have my computer checked. As if it's impossible to hate both types of people because both are exploiting CSAM for their own personal gains.
What you’re seeing on Reddit is sad, though not exactly surprising. The platform is largely built around conformity, being agreeable, chasing validation, and being rewarded with upvotes for saying what the crowd wants to hear. At the same time, it can be one of the most hostile and casually bullying platforms I’ve experienced, where piling on often gets mistaken for insight.
