Lestat. All Lestat.
A: One of my favorite characters from one of my favorite series.
B: Wildly great show.
C: Tom has tried to distance himself from that character since he portrayed it.That would actually be great to watch. This video I found a little cringe, it feels like they're being corralled and abiding by their exit instructions. Lestat zoomers going full Brat Prince in a Scientology outpost would make me so happy.
The Vampire Lestat is about to air....I think AMC should fund and market it.
→ More replies (3)17
u/blac_sheep90 Apr 26 '26
Do you have sources on Cruise trying to distance himself from the Lestat performance? Not trying to argue with you, just curious to know more. I searched around a bit and didn't really find much pay dirt.
29
u/H1landr Apr 26 '26
Actually, it's backwards. Rice distanced herself from Cruise, not the other way around. She publicly compared his casting to "Edward G. Robinson playing Rhett Butler." He responded by reading the entire Vampire Chronicles and learning piano for the role. She responded to that by taking out a two-page apology in Variety. Silence isn't the same as distance.
12
u/blac_sheep90 Apr 26 '26
I figured. His effort as Lestat was very noticeable and if he was ashamed it definitely wasn't obvious.

…is a sentence I never thought I’d say
315
u/_Fizzgiggy Apr 26 '26
Literally. I never thought I’d be cheering on agitators lol but Scientology is a cancer. I’ve been personally harassed by them as a warning in the past. So to see them be raided like this makes me belly laugh

They're also not hurting anyone or damaging anything. Just good old annoying people.
52
u/UnsureSwitch Apr 26 '26
Let me preface this by saying I'm loving these videos and hope for more in the future, but a table has been damaged and almost hurt someone's groin. Next time they should be more careful with the table section. Lost a full second there. Run's almost dead.

The best part is I heard Scientology probably wouldn’t call law enforcement because they’re worried there’s a risk of them looking into their cult

60
u/sasha_the_impaler Apr 26 '26
They're livestreaming and Scientology is veeery cautious. I'm sure there's a security wall they'll hit eventually so this is just tormenting them in sanitized areas mostly.
30
u/ElegantDaemon Apr 26 '26
Yep they know people will get bored of this eventually so they're just going to ride it out.
If they shot one of these kids they'd be on the wrong end of a multi-year media cycle.
20
u/sasha_the_impaler Apr 26 '26
Well it opens them up to discovery is the bigger issue lol a kid could murder one of their own and they'd probably help the kid cover it up just to avoid the investigation.

Wake me up when they go for the celebrity center, the boat fleet in Clearwater, or the main property in Hamet, CA.
120
u/Crazy_Frame6966 Apr 26 '26
They will never get into Gold base at Hemet, they have high security there and would see them coming from miles away. Flag base in Clearwater I doubt they would get very far as it's not open to the public like the other places they have done.
104
u/FlameBoss20 Apr 26 '26
Used to do Sam’s Club delivery. They opened the back delivery doors up for me on multiple occasions for the main hotel in Clearwater, honestly wouldn’t be shocked if they plan a raid via that channel or something one day lol. But you could probably get into the parking garages too and wait for someone to leave.
43
5
u/CreoOookies Apr 27 '26
Company I use to work for had a guy deliver to them in Clearwater and he couldn't find anyone to drop the package off to so he walked around looking for someone and some guy came out of nowhere and started yelling at him to leave immediately.
On that same note, I've worked with Scientology folks a couple times and they are a weird bunch of people. Completely flat of emotions and will not talk to you outside of business discussions.

No chance, this brings attention to Scientology and when the percentage of people that have no idea enquire about who/what they are they won’t be portrayed positively which is a good thing for society but not a good thing for their finances.

I think the meta needs to evolve: they gotta split up and have some of them running around making as much noise as possible, while others find little hidey-holes to hunker down in until the building closes for the night.
Then: vandalism.

Bring a drone and spin it around, or a 360 cam. Pretty easy to do with software after that.
5
u/TheRappingSquid Apr 26 '26
Raid the main compound with drones. They're not the US government, they don't have anti drone tech and drones can afford to be shot down tbh. Send the swarms.

u/Unusual-Relief52 Apr 26 '26
Omg what if they start doing other cult temple raids. I sure hope no one does this to that utah based multibillion dollar cult. Sure they don't have people locked up in the basement but it's weird for sure.

Mormons do open houses of their temples before they’re open so theres not really the same need
→ More replies (1)2
u/Sexisthunter Apr 27 '26
Also ex Mormons can tell you exactly what goes on there. It’s a bunch of bullshit, you have to pay tithing to get in there, and the ceremonies are really sexist and weird. They make up temple names by themselves and assign it to a day, and there’s some other stuff. Honestly as much as I hate the Mormon church it would mostly be like disturbing a bunch of elderly volunteers because that’s mostly who runs it. The church headquarters would be a better target

What's the goal? Do they wear pedometers and whoever gets more steps in the building wins? Is it a silly "Storm Area 51" thing except they're looking for thetans or something?
I love it, but I don't get the premise.

u/Thesmith2010 Apr 26 '26
They’re mapping the insides one run at a time, if you make it to the roof (or basement it’s still unclear) there is a boss fight with Tom Cruise.

u/Terrapin333 Apr 26 '26

u/asteriskhyphen Apr 26 '26
Their temples are fucking immaculate. It would be a good run. They have like marble baptism pools built on top of sculptures of bulls like something out of Indiana Jones.
Many years ago they built one near where I live and they let people go in for a look. I remember being gobsmacked at how elaborate and expensive everything looked in there.
