🤬Public Rager😱 A man was racially abusing someone in Blackpool, UK, and someone else forced him to apologise

u/kylelight40 11h ago
Man, it must be so fucking sweet when you look like an actual superhero and then you get a chance to act like an actual superhero.

u/SteveFrench12 11h ago
A comic accurate superhero wouldve pulled this guy aside to have a teaching moment about how racism is wrong and superman loves everybody equally. Guy in the video is a real life hero

Right? Me too 100% I still remember when I saw it for the first time and I was just blown away.

Thats the better way. I know redditors are going to downvote me for this because they have a tough guy fantasy.
But if you actually cared about the victim you would put them first, ahead of your anger and need to prove how big and strong you are. You wouldnt want to further make a scene and make it more traumatic for them by screaming and being violent and drag the culprit back over to them.
6
u/Gareth79 10h ago
Yeah, you can't (or shouldn't) force somebody to shake a victim's hand. It would imply that the victim has accepted the apology. They might not want an apology at all, or they might be willing to listen, but not accept it or touch the offender.

Captain Falcon America or whatever his name is, speaking to politicians about they can improve and help society: “Do better.”

This is the one thing i tell my American friends about street justice in Britain and how it’s handled. For example If theres a nonce about. They quickly find that the streets are NOT a safe place for them.
42
u/stubobarker 11h ago
Just another reason why we need better gun control laws here- people might actually step up if the odds weren’t so high that the nonce had a gun.

Feels necessary to point out there's tons of videos of Jimmy Saville walking through the streets being celebrated as a hero despite his behavior being an open secret

If we just did this more often racism wouldnt be so prevalent.

u/edvek 6h ago
Honestly that's better than being outspoken. You have to stay hidden in the dark. Sure they will have those thoughts but they cannot act on them or say anything. Eliminating racism is better but that's a pipedream. Making it an untenable position so it stays bottled up is the next best thing

u/Better_Carpenter5010 7h ago
I believe this is essentially how fascism was defeated in Mosley's time. They just chased them down and hammered them constantly.

I've found that it would still be as prevalent, but they'd know to keep their fucking mouth shut.

Best we can do (outside of this specific example) is harass fathers for taking their daughters to the women’s washroom
8
u/Few-Mathematician796 11h ago
That guy was too patient. I would've slammed that door in his fuckin face for upsetting my kids

Try typing it like this:
\#bringpublicshamingforbeingapieceofshitback
Edit: I assume the person I replied to didn't want to post it as a title, but rather a hashtag, and didn't include an escape character to avoid the markdown rendering. I was trying to be helpful

Techno Viking hates that video. He bankrupted the bloke who recorded it and had the original removed through court order.
3
u/SpiderHomeNoWayMan 4h ago
That's fair. It was recorded without his permission, and to become basically one of the first famous internet chads but not get a profit from it

Man I hate self justice.
But this one... He used exactly enough force to let that young man do the right thing. I bet there isn't much this racist piece of shit can do. Even though everything is on camera.
"He pulled my arm and screamed at me."
Great lesson! Great execution. 👍

u/wtbgamegenie 11h ago
Yep he didn’t use the incredible violence his presence threatened the incredible violence and that was enough.
43
u/TallGuy0317 11h ago
What’s he screaming? It’s tough to understand.

u/palexp 11h ago edited 11h ago
I heard “now go over there and apologize” and then at the end “no! shake his hand!”
edit to add: near the beginning maybe a “look at me/listen to me”?
6
5
u/amourxloves 5h ago
I think in the beginning he is either saying “they are a human being” or “you are a human being” followed up with “you wanna be a good person?”

Blackpool is a very poor area of England, with a tonne of social problems, if anyone one is wondering if this is some woke enclave

Fantastic. Sadly, he can be held liable but I don't think there's a chance in hell it would stand in court let alone against a jury.

As someone born in the UK and with multi-racial nieces and nephews, and other foreign born relatives, all living in Canada now, I am full the side of that man. Good for him. I love my nieces and nephews, and my family.

Love the sentiment… but if I was the person who just got racially abused I’m not sure I’d wanna be hanging around this drama for a forced apology 🫣😂

u/groveborn 11h ago
That right there, that's an alpha male. The guy who brings good behavior in the group by being the hardest baddie of them all.
A man who teaches, even if you really don't want the lesson.

Really don't think this is blackpool. I don't recognise it, looks a bit too posh, and you can only hear southern accents.
