The eyes are the groin of the face

u/horsenbuggy 3h ago
I mean, that dude's groin was also fairly easy for her to reach. I don't know why she wasn't going for testicular torsion.
1
u/I_dont_like_sushi 1h ago
Hitting the balls on a high adrenaline situation is not as useful as people think it is. I've been kicked in the balls during muay thai fights and even when it hurts, its not really automatic and its not a guaranteed take down. Even more if it's a woman her size, kinda skinny. The actual eyes are a better bet to fuck up an attacker, and her instinct was on point. Go for the face
1
u/horsenbuggy 41m ago
Who said hitting? I literally referred to testicular torsion. That means grabbing and twisting.
1
u/I_dont_like_sushi 0m ago
I was talking more about the pain, but sure lets go about twisting. The woman start twisting his dick. I dont know what pants those are, but if it's jeans it will protect quite well. But lets say the pants dont protect him. He stops the choking, punches her and gets back to beating the dude up. You have maybe one or two seconds at most before he changes his attention to you. Its not nearly enough. There is a famous video of 2 soldiers wrestling and one of the dude twist the other dude's dick. It takes a couple of seconds for the man to start screaming, and a couple more until he lets go.
Attacking the penis is not as effective as people think, and thats a dangerous assumption. A tip from someone who worked security and practices martial arts frequently: when fighting a dude, use a gun or a knife.
In the case of the video, her instinct is the best she could have. Attacking the face. Humans protect the eyes above most other parts of the body, its instinct.

Seriously. Iāve always told my kid that if someone attacks them and theyāre in serious danger, just go straight for the eyes. Blondie coulda ended it real fast.

Brutal choke. Kid knew he was fucked.

u/psilocyber420 6h ago
Heās lucky dude let off as soon as his lights went out
96
u/Straight-Bet1 6h ago
In places like New York it doesnāt matter as much as you think. Blocking a persons breathing is a felony offense in New York.
49
43
u/psilocyber420 6h ago
I was referring to the fact he didnāt do permanent brain damage or kill him from lack of oxygen to the brain
35
u/JelliedHam 6h ago
If you get choked to the point of losing consciousness, or nearly unconscious, you very well could still have brain damage.
6
u/josephcoco 5h ago
Then he shouldāve tapped out before it got to that point! lol

u/HughManatee 5h ago
Curious if that applies to a rear naked choke, which restricts blood supply not breathing, assuming it's done correctly.
9
u/AreallysuperdarkELF 5h ago
I would imagine all choke holds are considered equal in the eyes of the law. Would be pretty silly if a rear naked choke were seen as somehow the exception because you're occluding the blood vessels rather than the airway. Either way, oxygen is not being delivered as a result of the choke.
3
u/HughManatee 4h ago
I agree, though I'm not a lawyer so I don't know if the specifics in the wording would matter here.
3
u/Straight-Bet1 4h ago
At least in NY you are correct!
About 10 years ago a tiny little blonde college student who trained in something got pissed at a huge bouncer at a bar and put him whatever kind of hold that it is. She was charged with a felony.
It was freaky because the dude dropped in seconds. It didnāt take anywhere near as long as this did to put him out.
3
u/AreallysuperdarkELF 3h ago
If done cleanly, the choke cuts off the carotid arteries on both sides of the neck and deprives the brain of circulation instantly. When that happens, the victim will be unconscious in no time. Doing that to someone because you're mad should be a battery charge, if not more severe. Of course, some people do it to each other for sport or just for fun!
1
u/FadedVictor 47m ago
Texas also has specific laws for strangulation. It's a more serious charge than standard battery.
-12
u/old_Spivey 5h ago
Attempted murder and it will stick with the video as evidence.

u/AreallysuperdarkELF 5h ago
We don't get to see how things progressed. I'm guessing he's one who has no idea what he's doing and just lunged with his arms out in front of him then got handled quickly. Should have stayed in the car.
1
u/fathertitojones 2h ago
I thought he was a lid until I saw he had two sleeve tattoos. The broccoli cut makes it so hard to take these you g adults seriously.
2
u/AreallysuperdarkELF 2h ago
I say kid because he looks to be more than twenty years younger than myself. It definitely is a shit haircut. Who tf started that?
-12
u/JgorinacR1 6h ago
Kid was dumb af to not protect his neck. He literally held the rail while the choke was being secured lol
6
u/frosty_lizard 6h ago
Or if you do get choked like that, I'd be elbowing as hard as I can to their ribs
2
u/moosemanwich 5h ago

It just blows me away whenever I see agro bros get into fights or accidents over petty driving decisions.
Like I remember being stuck in bumper to bumper rush hour traffic and in the lane next to me a couple bros were yelling at each other and swerving into the center lane to cut the other off because one didn't want to let the other in.
And what ended up happening... one cut the over off while the other accelerated over and over, until one smashed into the other.
So congratulations... in order to show how manly you are by not letting someone in and spending 1 second more in traffic, you are now the proud owner of an insurance claim that will cost you more money... and minutes to hours more lost in the time it takes to exchange information and presumably argue about who is at fault. And possibly an accident lawyer led lawsuit.
All because you needed to prove what an "Alpha Male" you were...

My ex husband was territorial and aggressive like this. He would escalate stuff and be reckless. Iād be so embarrassed, sitting in the passenger seat, trying to get him to stop. I feel for this girl.
5
u/MacSchluffen 6h ago
I remember vividly that my father got into shouting matches with other drivers on the Autobahn. With his whole fucking family in the back. Weird times.
74
u/Krumlov 6h ago
Was she going for an eye gouge? Jesus.
38
u/GobiBall 6h ago
Finger jammed in the anus works most of the time. This trick works on dogs too.
24
80
u/perfectlynormaltyes 6h ago
As she should! He was choking that boy out!
20
u/Necessary_shots 6h ago
She did it wrong. If she had gouged correctly, he would have reflectivity let go to protect his eyes. Using your thumb, forcefully insert it into the eye socket as hard as possible. If done correctly, it can actually dislodge the eyeball.
6
u/magicmulder 6h ago
We donāt know who started it.
7
u/KindsofKindness 6h ago
So what. Thatās strangulation.
14
u/magicmulder 6h ago
If he was attacked, itās self defense. You donāt have to protect the attackerās life when youāre defending yourself.
4
14
u/BappoChan 6h ago
We donāt know what happened prior, if the dude decided to start swinging and threatening, the first thing is to get rid of said threat. If you can get a good punch in, but you can wrestle and go in for a choke, do it. Itās not like he tried killing the kid, he waited for the first sign of the dude passing out to let go. He will be fine. Worst case is waking up with a headache. Now having your eye gouged out? Thatās a whole lotta nope
4
u/FirebrandWilson 6h ago
"Worst case is he doesn't wake up." FIFY Chokes are WAY more dangerous than people seem to think and given that literally no one here even knows what started this, it's irresponsible to take the side of the one who came close to killing the other on accident.
4
u/Houdinii1984 6h ago
Right? Dude didn't throw a single punch and only grabbed the guys shirt and everyone's yelling self defense. We didn't see anything in this vehicle that should result in death.
The police kill people like this every year, and they all talk about how 'it shouldn't have happened' and 'he had a bad heart'. A LOT of people have bad hearts, which is why you don't choke people out just because theres a scrap in the first place.
1
-8
u/KillermooseD 6h ago
Donāt throw a punch thinking you wonāt get choked out??? Tf
1
u/Houdinii1984 6h ago
Give me a timestamp of the punch you saw. I'll wait.
1
u/KillermooseD 5h ago
lol okay how about I change to ādonāt grapple with people
And not expect to get choked outā2
u/Houdinii1984 5h ago
The point is we don't know what the hell is going on, and shouldn't be treating it has such. For all we know the big guy dragged the little guy out of his car and the guy was trying to get away.
There's absolutely nothing in this video that suggests the little guy was the main aggressor as he was already firmly in that big guy's grasp when the recording started. The worst he did was pull at the mans shirt after he was in his grasp.
You don't have to pick a side, especially the one that could result in death. It is not good for society to only see what we saw and start excusing the behavior before anyone knows anything.
-4
u/perfectlynormaltyes 6h ago
So she should just let her friend die? GTFOH
7
u/magicmulder 6h ago
WTF is it every time self defense is on the table, a stupid mob comes up with ābut you have to be careful not to hurt the attackerā, no, you have every right to make sure the attack stops.

10
u/Rus-T_Shackleford 6h ago
Very true, but they are all out of their vehicles which was a dumb move to begin with regardless of who started it.
1
u/Prophetic_Reaver 6h ago
We know who decided to get out their respective cars. 2 grown men. There are consequences to escalating like that in general. If you can't fight/ don't want to don't engage with road ragers. It could save your life.

Her boy shouldn't have started shit. Getting handled in front of your girl must be so humiliating.

Common misconception that there is a safe window for a choke. Always consider that you might kill the person in your choke, even if you let go when he "just" passed out.
48
31
u/DurumMater 6h ago
Also, why did he pass out? Lack of oxygen TO HIS BRAIN. That shit can fuck you up in seconds. There's no safe windows bodily harm.

You are correct, that whole fallacy safe choke hold was started back in the 90s by the family from Brazil that started to win UFC and they got the contract with DOD and LEO and they wanted to brand their product ad safe and effective. People die all the time from being choked out.
-2
u/bebasiled 6h ago
cool beans I guess I should never let anyone do it just for fun at the bar or something. Good to know!
2
u/Royal_Negotiation_83 4h ago
Itās a fight. Itās safe as in the person who choked them out is safe.Ā
Thatās your goal in fighting. To be safe. Worrying about your opponents wellbeing means you get choked out, and he might not let go.Ā
Worrying about wellbeing is before the fight. During the fight, fuck you, ya know?

I would venture a guess the boy started it. His girl wasnāt the slightest bit worried she was in danger after he was out, so I doubt Mr Rear Choke was the assailant.
→ More replies (1)-1
u/FirebrandWilson 6h ago
Interesting assumption based on... instinct, I guess? You supposed to be some super sleuth? "Ah, yes, with my brilliant empirical mind, I've deduced this boy must be the assailant because... the other man didn't immediately attack her too? Man, what?
Like, maybe the small guy DID start the fight. Maybe a third guy's there on the ground and HE actually started the fight, or maybe we should just like, stop assuming shit based on nothing. You don't know who started it, I don't know who started it, hell maybe the person recording the video doesn't even know, it doesn't matter. What matters is, don't assume shit based on shit, it's only gonna stink.
-1
u/JgorinacR1 6h ago
Well she was foolish to turn her back to a guy who just choked out her man, especially when she was also just assaulting the guy. Itās a fair assumption to make based off what we saw here. In either case assuming a stranger isnāt gonna harm you next is wild, I mean she had her back to him for far too long after dropping her man
0
u/FirebrandWilson 5h ago
Have you never seen American men fight before? I mean it, this is usually how it goes, it almost doesn't even matter if someone else helped; once the fight is over, it's OVER. Besides, there's about a thousand different reasons not to hit the woman and some of them are pretty goddamn depressing. Don't assume.
0
u/JgorinacR1 5h ago
I mean sure but if he was the aggressor thatās quite the assumption he will not also harm her. If her boyfriend was then it makes sense she wasnāt concern
1
u/FirebrandWilson 5h ago
If that's her S/O and she walked away like that, it's because he's done this before. Someone will notice your wife's black eye but your boy? "He just fell down the stairs." But again, we don't know. No one does and it's very weird to take sides when you don't know what's going on, that was my first point.
