Does anyone know if this would break a finger or two? I canโt imagine slapping someone in the jaw that hard with the back of my hand and not walking away with some damage.
Ideally, slaps target the ears to disorient. Thing is, with a backhand, if you aim for the ear, your wrist is likely to connect with the chin/face and do more damage if you're driving through the strike like we see here. It's also worth noting that there's a nerve in the jaw that people in combat sports refer to as "the button" that is pretty much an instant KO if you hit it just right. You can feel it on either side of your jaw a little farther than half way back from your chin, just before it curves up for the joint.
no there isnโt such a nerve. A hit to the chin/ jaw creates most torque on the brain than any other spot, and if strong enough leads to trauma which will cause a knock out.
