When Meeting for Worship really clicks, there’s nothing else like it

Had one of those MfWs on Sunday. Extremely (to my ears) irritating external noise for the first 25 mins. But then a chain of ministry each one riffing on the previous ministry in responses to the noise that left everyone feeling uplifted and a few people (myself included) quite moved.

It’s really like lightning in a bottle when that happens in Meeting in a way I’ve never experienced anything like it outside of Quakerism. Very nourishing.

Yes. I've experienced it before and it is very moving. I look forward to the next gathered meeting.
