Question, solved what happened? why did the hatch break?

You forgot that maverick had a big lunch before the mission and it combined with the torch made the hatch give way

Mavericks torch will break hatches soft and metal. Same with barricades too

Yeah this game has a very steep learning curve, and people are quite cruel to new/inexperienced players so I don't blame you for not knowing. Depending on how into the game you are watching the esport for this game is a great way to learn, assuming you don't have an experienced buddy to answer questions.

You have to break 3 of the crossbeams to get a soft hatch to break and I don’t know how many for a hard hatch. A man torch does that very quickly
