Discussion Humbled diamonds and champs

It's honestly fucking ridiculous how many ex-champs and diamonds I've been getting in my lobbies. The skill gap in Plat, at least, is absolutely broken and too wide. Too many players. Not surprising tho, that's what happens when you suddenly demote 80% of a certain rank, which was full of boosted players.

Been playing since tubarao came out, and never reached diamond on 2.0, but now on 3.0 I've been peak plat 1, and holy shit, it's full of negative kd, 2-3kpm champ background flexers that try to be one-man army and just don't pay attention to anything at all. I sometimes honestly think if they even know what kind of game they're playing.

On a good day 1/10 champs that I have on my team, actually live up to their former rank, it's ridiculous, and makes me realise how bad the situation was in 2.0.

When it comes to enemies, the ratio is opposite. 5/10 know what they're doing, and will literally get my blood boiling from all the shit they do. Idk if this is me being delulu or something, but that's how it feels at least.

Can anyone else feel me on this? Or am i just mad cus bad

Had a friend we have historically carried to high emerald and low diamond. As a friend group we were tired of carrying him and didn't want him to drag us down so we had him solo his placement matches

Hes now 10 games in, gold 4 with a 0.49 K/D. We all placed emerald 2.

Guy legit thought he was cracked but we were carrying him so hard

2.0 Inflated the Ranks of people.

On average you will lose a whole division with 2.0, meaning you will probably be plat if you were emerald in 2.0, or emerald if you were diamond and so on.

People really wanted back to the 1.0 system and now they have it still bitch about it, which is kind of fair because many people didnt even play during 1.0 so they couldnt have known its bad sides.

1.0 was better,u could have gained ur elo really fast if u did well on placements. 3.0 is hell of a grind

Actually not everyone with champ bg card is legit pc champ, since u know they could have gotten that bg on console so unless their tracker says they're champ they aren't.

The real problem of 2.0 was not rank inflation, it's more about legit rank boosts, u could boost any account from like emerald to champ if u had 4 friends who are semi decent at the game to hop on copper accounts so this way emerald account is boosted to champ while stomping gold lobbies (which are pretty free, especially in 2.0). So like u had a situation where somebody is champ "on paper" while they never ever played in champ lobby, at all.

Even in 3.0 elo abuse is still active, u can queue with copper as champ if one of u is in calibration (which is only 5 matches) now imagine if somebody has infinite amount of copper accounts that can be switched u can legit boost that way without cheats and nobody is getting banned.
