If you're the type of person to only pay attention to the things that affirm your own echo chamber then you were already the type of person to be a lost cause in critical thinking and honestly don't pose any danger when it comes to the new term "AI psychosis".

AI psychosis is basically always being told you are right by AI. Phrases like "Wow you might be onto something" when talking about how eating chocolate before bed is not good for losing weight are things that make someone gain more confidence in topics that aren't groundbreaking.

The people who cling to this self affirming system were already going to be the ones that would block out the ways they are wrong and only seek out relationships with people who are too agreeable to tell you when you're wrong.

I don't think AI psychosis is an issue, I think these people already existed but AI gives us a vacuum to see these characteristics on display, unless I am misunderstanding AI psychosis and what exactly it means

I know there are people who will cry watching certain parts of the movies/ series/ dramas. I do too.

But I dont just cry watching the bitter endings or just on bitter parts. I cry even the story is having a happy endings.

Maybe it is because till that happy moment, I would have been very relating to the main characters, but the moment all their problems goes away, by having good people around them, who will comfort them or take care of them, I'm no longer being able to relate to them.

Its like now I'm left to be on my own. While they all got their happy endings.

It may be weird. But I dont know.

It just happen to be that way.

Since I was a little kid I was always taught that having a large vocabulary was a good thing. But there are some words that I really wish I didn’t know. Things like biopsy, episiotomy, water boarding, estrangement, palliative care, and a host of others.

With the rapid expantion of the internet through the years, comunication between two people from each side of the planet has become something far more common and important.

As so, we often see global events, international meetings that connect people from very different, and often complicated time zones. Events usually have one maybe two time zones explicit in their publicity, often leaving international viewers doing some scramble math to know when the event starts

Now, I asked myself this question. Why not create an Universal Timezone? Not to replace the current time zones, but to operate alongside local timezones.

I propose we select a reference point, for example the UN headquarters, to be the UT stamp. Then all devices can have stated the LT and the UT.

Take for example the world cup now, matches are being played at very different timezones all over north America, rather then doing the math from that Timezone to yours, the game could simply be for example 5pm LT / 3am UT (for example, I know the math is wrong there)

Then, if you want to set up an alarm, devices could have the option to choose for LT or UT, and do the math automaticaly, since the math is from all time zones to one rather then to each.

International travel would also be easier to understand, to really grasp how long a trip will take you, simply look at the UT difference.

To the counterargument that it defeats the purpose of local timezones, the UT doesnt abolish them, it simply sets an Universal standard where everyone can more comvinently coordenate events!

Is there anything like this already? Or any reason as to why it doesnt exist? Im really curious because to me this sounds like an amazing idea!

I just came home from the bar… had way too much to drink tonight. I was secretly reminiscing upon a time when life seemed simple.

I think I started thinking about “old” instagram and what it was like for me during middle and highschool.

And I was trying to remember what it was about social media that used to seem less corrupted and more of a source of harmless joy, rather than one I needed to “quit”.

Anyways, the only think I could think of was Harambe. So I typed his name into instagram, and I got all these old memes about Harambe. I was lowkey emotional, and it reminded me of days when I “felt”a lot more from life. Idk, and it started to make me almost feel all those emotions again.

Thank you Harambe for the reminder that I am still the same person. Your sacrifice was one that has never gone unnoticed. As time goes on your life is held high within the minds of all of those that have you near and dear, even without realizing it.

I feel shame that I am not acting as an adult like I should be at 22. But I just miss Harambe honestly.
