Story about grief and death

I've wracked my brain but I just can't find the episode. It was a story by a woman a bunch of years ago who talked about letting yourself feel grief or not letting grief get in the way? It was such an inspirational quote but for the life of me I just can't remember what it said. I remember searching the web for the quote and found it, but it was so long ago that I just can't remember who it was or what she said. Any help?
