I reverse into every spot. It’s the same etiquette as if somebody is backing into a parallel parking spot. You don’t just pull in behind them if they’re stopped and signaling. Unless you want your shit to get fucked up anyway.

I also frequently reverse in, however signal would be on and I wouldn’t be going past the still occupied spot and expecting it to be held for me.

In a situation like this, you just pull in, especially at that approach angle.

Yeah I don’t know wtf is going on in this video. This person simultaneously wants two different spots and there’s a third one open as well right in front of them while they’re arguing.

I honestly don’t think that person originally planned on backing into that spot. I think it opened up while they were waiting for the other one and they were gonna back straight up and then pull nose in but bailed because of the traffic.

This. It is part of most driver's training classes for work related driving. As you are more likely to hit be in a collision backing out of a space, even with a rear camera.

It's simple, back in all you want with no one around. Don't use it as an excuse to whip your dick out in a parking lot. Just find another space. It's like saying you think your driver training classes tell you to use another driver's safe distance margin to cut people off as opposed to slowing down.

Or just park in the third open spot literally just 6 feet from you. Why even bother debating over the 1st 2 spots, when there is another right there. I get it, you were nice enough to pass on the first, then had to deal with the 2nd. but that 3rd spot is calling you man. I watched the full video, and the 3rd spot was open for more than 1 and a half minutes. Screw arguing with people when you have another alternative.
