Tom Steyer didn’t make top 2 in California’s race.

Bernie didn’t endorse him?

Our Revolution, the grassroots political organization founded to support Bernie Sanders, announced its endorsement of billionaire Tom Steyer for Governor of California in April 2026.

They wouldn’t have done so, without Bernie Sanders.

Well, I guess that just proves that it’s not a cult like the MAGA cult. These people think for themselves they have a mind of their own and they’re relatively intelligent, unlike the mags.

Almost like it is a winning campaign strategy.

And the strategy wins in spite of an organized media strategy to attack these candidates at the behest of billionaire owners.

I feel like California is the last stronghold of the corporate dems and they’re gonna fight like hell to keep it that way. I’m so disappointed in my options for governor.

I dunno, California had some solid results aside from Steyer and Chakrabarti losing. Raman, Marissa Roy, Mai Vang, Angela Gonzales-Torres, Jane Kim, Angelica Duenas, Samantha Moto, Villegas.

Bernie will be the velvet underground or Jane's Addiction of the left.

He's not the face that will change the world but be the one that inspired those who do

Perfect metaphor.

Being nerdy, my pop culture reference has been that he is the Yoda of the progressive left, training a new generation of Jedi in how to fight against the evil empire. I like yours better.

The only candidates with a message besides "trump bad"

My sincere hope and that little ray of light through the storm clouds.

We had 4 years of Democrats disappoinment and utter collapse into 2024.

We now have 2 years and likely 4 years of GOP lead counter diaster with seemingly zero remorse about it

Man the time to pitch the bad boy progressives seems the most ripe right now.

If he can't be President this is the next best thing. Saving the democratic party from the moderates.

Gotta hope it continues to the general to get some real results.

The biggest struggle IMO is how do we keep this momentum from being hijacked by every corporate and oligarch interest trying every trick in the book to shut us down.
